Hey Everybody, By now you may have already heard the rumors about some 'BIG NEWS' that we are about to announce. That news is that we are not releasing the next Cd as SR-71 in the States, It will be released as just ... MITCH ALLAN. That's right...it won't be an SR-71 record. Now before anybody says 'what the F@#k '???....THIS IS NOT THE END OF SR-71!!!! This is just something else we need to do right now. As you know, Our new CD, 'HERE WE GO AGAIN' just came out in Japan. We will also be touring over there soon so don't worry...this is just a way for us to put out some new material that doesn't quite fit under the SR-71 name. That means (if you read between the lines) that the American release will have different songs than the Japanese one. There will be some crossover like 'In Your Eyes' and 'Mosquito', but there will also be new songs that are a litte more singer/songwiter-ish... thus the moniker, 'MITCH ALLAN'. Also, just so you know, the band is not changing at all. It will still be myself, John, Mike and Pat and we will still be playing some of the SR songs live, but as of the 21st of June, we will be playing more of the new stuff and trying to get you guys to call all your radio stations and request 'In Your Eyes' by MITCH ALLAN. Think about this as a new chapter in the bands evolution. We have just signed 2 new record deals and have a completely new management team. Along with that we have added this new spinoff group - MITCH ALLAN. We think you guys are gonna love the new material. If you don't already have a copy of HERE WE GO AGAIN then hurry up and buy the import, there's gonna be another CD before you blink. Thanks for everything you guys, we could never have made it this far without you. Oh yeah the tentative title for the new cd is:'CLAWING MY WAY TO THE MIDDLE' but until then please request 'In Your Eyes' at radio.- M I T C H

Yes. They had trouble promoting the last record. (Fuckin RCA). It was an awesome record (fuck haters). Butch Walker even had a hand in some production. But the new record is rockin, i dont care what anyone says. open ears opens minds

Hey, I know why they changed the name from SR to Mitch Allan. It's the new label they're on(connoiseur records). That label is trying to keep it's "focus" on singer/songwriters(IE, they don't want to sign a bunch of bands). It was a compromise since CR offered them the best contract. Anyway, Clawing My Way To The Middle is gonna be released in about a week(as per my last update from Mitch). And seriously, RCA sucks as label in general as a lot of their artists get promotion for one single/4 months and then they get shelved. Then their upper management changed and they dropped almost half of their artists.
