Honestly, it's a fight between two bands. Only the parties involved know what really happened and the one that has fudged the truth can live with that guilt. i guess i'll be like most everyone else and give my opinion.
i like finch's music, but randy shouldn't have said publicly about putting a bullet in the guys head. that said, the disturbed guitarist should've confronted r2k privately, not on stage in front of thousands of people like some publicity stunt so they could come off like badasses.

i never liked music or bands that thought they were tough guys - i had a hard enough time dealing with those assholes in high school, like a lot of people. look at finch, they're skinny, small -save grizz- and whatever scene you think they belong to, is not the scene where the more testosterone or manly you appear the cooler your band is thought of.

on the other hand, being seen or thought of as tough guys is part of disturbed's image and the metal scene they see themselves as part of. while i've heard some interviews with this band, being completely and utterly pretentious is also a pre-requesite for them.

my opinion of course, but disturbed is the type of music that the jocks in my school used to listen to while they got drunk and tried to find skaters like myself to beat up. so obviously i resent them.

i can't imagine too many finch fans would go to a festival named after beer and play with the other crappy bands on the bill besides disturbed. and not that this means anything, but members of the dillinger escape plan, one of the most brilliant bands in the world have said even worse things about disturbed than randy, so obvioudsly it's not like disturbed rubs just one band the wrong way.

R2K should've just said disturbed fucking sucks and is the worst band alive. i don't think too many people or bands except for the geeks on their message boards would have disagreed. hate them or not, finch doesn't try to come off like badasses like disturbed and so many other bands that play their type of music. so starting a fight with them is like the jock, picking on the skater. even if the jock beats the shit out of the skater, he has proven nothing except reassuring himself that he's a tough guy.
