I've got to say, I've never understood the love for Sticks & Stones. I like it a lot, but never really got why people had it as their favorite.

For me, NGCS or s/t, depending on mood... but if I had to choose one, NGCS.

Coming Home=vomit.

A lot of people disliked Coming Home because it was different than their previous works, but I thought it was a little bit underrated. I mean, it's probably my least favorite album by NFG, but to say it's vomit is nonsense to me. It's still better than probably 90% of everything else that's out there.

self-titled.

coming home and sticks and stones were both fantastic. catalyst didnt do the trick for me. i got nothing gold can stay right before the self-titled was released, and that got me hooked. but yes, s/t trips my trigger to this day.

Coming Home.

As the years pass, the more this remains true.

A truly underrated, and largely accomplished, attempt at a "pop/punk band" making every effort to become simply a "rock band."

I went with the original Nothing Gold Can Stay, because 2's and 3's is my favorite song by them, and its good all around. but its a tough decision, because all of their albums are good all around.

something about that record just sticks out compared to the others.

dude are you fucking kidding me, sticks and stones is easily their worst album. its still good but compared to the others its the worst. i guess it makes sense though since it was the album that most people first heard

S/T is definitly my favorite, i can remeber the day that i bought the album. Nothing Gold Can Stay is a close second, it has "3rd and long" on it and thats probably my top 5 songs of all time. Catalyst and Sticks and Stones sound pretty similar to me but i still enjoy the tunes. As for the "From the screen to the stereo albums they are both fab.

By the way, you forgot "Its All About the Girls".

S/T is one of the CD's that got me into liking bands most people don't know. (of course this was 8 years ago when most people didn't know nfg). its one of those epic timeless albums. stick & stones is up there too alongside coming home. catalyst and ngcs are also amazing cds.

I don't think you should really count the movie albums, considering those aren't their own songs. But I went with the self-titled. Sincerely Me, BEST nfg song ever. I really love Nothing Gold Can Stay a shit ton too.

Huuugely underrated. I think its one of their best because of it's diversity. Some of the tracks on there are traditionally new found glory, and they have some really mellow songs too, but its all great.

as you can see i'm old (28) which makes me awesome because I saw NFG back in 2000 when they were opening for Fenix TX on the Fall 2000 tour in support of the self-titled release. hooray for me.

anyway, i love NFG, one of my 5 favorite bands live and on CD ever. The self-titled is probably still my favorite overall but Sticks and Stones is really right on par with it.

I'm surprised to see more votes for Coming Home than Catalyst. I'm not a huge fan of Coming Home, its a little too wussy/poppy as compared to the more harder-edged pop punk that made them who they are but it still has some great songs like "make your move", "hold my hand" and "on my mind". I really like "taken back by you" as well, underrated song.
