The Yeah Yeah Yeahs (http://www.yeahyeahyeahs.com) are nominated for 4 MTV Video Music Awards. The band also filmed a video for "Y-Control" a few weeks ago.

I don't think this band's that good. They are successful only because people try so hard to be different with their music tastes.

They are successful only because people try so hard to be different with their music tastes.or maybe they're successful because "maps" is insanely catchy and they don't sound like all the other bands out there right now. it gets boring listening to the same sounding kind of bands all the time. variety is never a bad thing.

and i didn't say they were totally original, but they're still more original than the many pop punk bands who are popular right now (story of the year, new found glory, etc.).
