Ummmm, yes, they are. Don't even bother arguing this point or you'll just end up looking like an idiot.
And don't even get into the discussion about how it's not music or is garbage because it all sounds like insanity put to record with no direction. Not only is that untrue, it's beside the point. It's like saying Masonna isn't music, totally ignoring the fact that it's some of the most important art of modernity.

please do not talk about the locust like this. the locust may not appeal to some of your ears but they make music more intense and experiemental than most bands in the scene. please do not refer to as tweakers becuase they put out music more urgent, intense, and different than your close minded cd case holds. justin p. is a genius dont be a close minded scenester and try to label the locust becuase you are just making yourself look dumb.

what the hell?...this is easily Justin's worst band...just because I don't like them doesn't mean I'm a close minded scenester...they are a gimmick, and that's all

Gah, here in San Diego it's like a sin to not like the Locust. I think they sound like a freakin' train wreck. I could put on bunny rabbit costumes and make "experimental" music, but that doesn't make it any good. I am so less scene now huh?

the locust are not a "gimmick", although you may think so.. jp and the crew work full time to come up with music that spits in the face of traditional hardcore or whatever. i am into all of jp's side projects and trust me he wouldnt be in some girls if the locust was a gimmick, wes eisold wouldnt have it .. as for the rest of the locust and jp they have been in a list of side projects that cant be listed due to the length. if the locust were just a gimmick you would think that they would give up the locust and focus strictly on holy molar or another one of their successful side projects. but obviously the locust are not a gimmick if they can sign to epitaph. i think your opinion is valid if you just do no like the locust.. but you are saying they are a gimmick.. which they are obviously not.
