New Found Glory (http://www.newfoundglory.com)'s set Wednesday at the Bristow, Virginia, stop on the Vans Warped Tour was cut short by a microburst, a meteorological phenomenon in which a violent wind suddenly descends over a small area. The heavy wind caused a giant weather balloon to hit a fence, which then collided with some concertgoers. One boy was seriously injured and needed to be medivac-ed from the scene after having convulsions. He was kept overnight at a local hospital and was recovering at press time.

It was on the far left, behind the stage sort of. The wind took away not only the balloon, but the part of the fence that was anchoring it. The thing NFG stopped for was the person who got hurt in the crowd. Good job to NFG for stopping though, that was a really good thing to do.

Wow...I was there watching when it happened. I was standing near the back though watching before I left for Motion City Soundtrack (who rocked) and I knew they stopped for the crowd surfer girl that fell on her head or whatever. My friend was in the front on the guardrail but we had no idea about the weather baloon trash. Well we're going to the Hershey show as well so we can see a full NFG set still.

I heard later that the fence hit someone. So sad that we missed NFg and someone got hurt....not to mention yellowcard's set got cut short too from people getn hurt.

Oh my goodness I was there waiting for yellowcard to go on. So i could get pictures of them and then run to another stage for Motion City Soundtrack. They stopped playing for like 15mins. And set back yellowcard, I was late to see Motion City Soundtrack. I really hope that person is okay. People were getting hurt left and right at the NFG and Yellowcard stages :lipsrseal

hey dipshit, the fence was waaaaay out of the way of the crowd. the kid might not have even been watching them, it just happened to be on their side of the area.

and no its not pathetic to get hurt durring those bands. what's sad anymore is that more kids actually do get hurt durring them. i was in pits of much harder bands all day and didnt see anyone get hurt, but those mainstream bands like nfg, story of the year and yellowcard in all actuallity have the craziest pits at warped. the fans of those bands are just retarded and dont know how to look out for each other like fans of bands like the bouncing souls, flogging molly or bad religon.

First off, that was a horrible opening post to the forums. second of all, you've obviosuly never been to a show where 5,000 people are cramming you so tight to where you can't even lift up your arms, and when you do, you get pushed over and landed on by 30 otehr people. third of all, who THE FUCK expects a fence to come flying into them, putting them in th hospital?
