Blazing down the highway,
Our bridge was dimly lit.
Something strange lives in the air,
Oblivious it hits.
The Smiths blast from the stereo,
As the tires begin to heat.
The angry woman cuts us off
And death we are to cheat.
Delay. Delay. Dead.
Slow motion takes us over,
And she’s nine small feet ahead.
A few more seconds pass us by,
That child should be in bed.
The small eyes stare,
No older than just five
Eyelashes filled with blood that scream
"But I don’t want to die"
Our bridge was dimly lit.
Something strange lives in the air,
Oblivious it hits.
The Smiths blast from the stereo,
As the tires begin to heat.
The angry woman cuts us off
And death we are to cheat.
Delay. Delay. Dead.
Slow motion takes us over,
And she’s nine small feet ahead.
A few more seconds pass us by,
That child should be in bed.
The small eyes stare,
No older than just five
Eyelashes filled with blood that scream
"But I don’t want to die"
