Yesterday at The Warped Tour, I picked up a copy of the brand new Smartpunk (http://www.smartpunk.com) comp: Music On The Brain Volume 1. I must say it's one hot little package. New exclusive and unreleased music from Underoath, Over It, Don't Look Down, Saosin, From First To Last, and Hidden In Plain View among many others. So make sure you pick up this hot mother for $5 either at Warped or at the Smartpunk site. In fact, you can stream the whole comp right here (http://www.smartpunk.com/music_on_the_brain/index.html). Full tracklisting in the replies.

the songs by UnderOATH and Saosin make this comp worth the 5 dollars alone

That's not Anthony Green on vocals for the Saosin song, it's Cove Reber.

I have the cd infront of me, and I've listened to it several times. The version on the compilation is the Cove Reber (full band) version, not the original Anthony Green demo with midi drums that's been circulating the internet for several months now.

If you still haven't heard the Cove version (which leaked on the net last month), pick up the cd. This song alone is worth the $5.

Or buy the cd and support the bands and Smartpunk.com. I have also had the song since it was posted about on the saosin forums, where you also frequent.

I rather enjoyed the whole disc. Most of the bands on there are great, and so are the songs they have on it. I think that Anthony deserves the money. Like you said, they are his lyrics. I have nothing against him for leaving Saosin, and I would gladly support him because the work he does is great (Circa Survive, High & Driving, TSOAF, etc. included) with or without Saosin, and I've yet to hear something come from him that I haven't enjoyed. The same goes for Saosin; everything they play is gold, and I have no doubt that the full-length will be outstanding.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm a compulsive cd/vinyl collector. I should factor that in too.
