chad kroeger always does the same vocal technique of doubling his voice in a higher octave. I mean, for a couple songs, that's fine, but when every damn song has that, it gets annoying. Not to mention the chords they play and chad's vocal style get old pretty fast.

as for Jordan Pudnick, while yeah in the early days he wasnt a great vocalist, but had an appeal, the problem is all the bands that tried to follow in him and Tom Delonge's footsteps (most notably simple plan) whose vocals were just horribly nasal, and just horrible, i remember seeing local bands play back then trying to sound like that and sounded more like Cartman lol.

However Jordan has been able to take his sound, and have it mature into a really good voice, at least for what they do, and I can't say that for Tom Delonge, who actually sounds worse now that he's trying to sing center stage and over music that tries to be bigger than anything he's capeable of (i've said it once and i'll say it again, ava sounds like a kid doing karaoke to the joshua tree)
