Epitaph's breakout band Matchbook Romance is seeking a new guitar player for their next album. The Poughkeepsie, NY based quartet (vocalist, guitarist Andrew Jordan, bassist Ryan Kienle, guitarist Ryan DePaulo and drummer Aaron Stern) who are currently on the road this summer as part of the Vans Warped Tour Tenth Anniversary, will take a month off after the tour concludes to write new material and audition guitarists. MBR will then head back out on tour for a month-long trek with Taking Back Sunday followed by a co-headlining tour with Midtown.

With sales of their Epitaph full length debut Stories and Alibis closing in on the 100,000 mark, MATCHBOOK ROMANCE have recently been tapped to appear on both MTV's Advance Warning as well as on Fuse's Daily Download show where they will perform an acoustic song from their upcoming split EP with Motion City Soundtrack due out on September 7.

All guitar players interested in auditioning for MATCHBOOK ROMANCE should be experienced and able to sing and carry harmonies. Playing keyboard is also a plus. Also note that MATCHBOOK ROMANCE is based in Poughkeepsie, NY. Serious inquiries should be directed to onemomentmgt@aol.com.

Yea that really is sad like idk i feel like he contributed quite a bit to the band as far as vocally but really helped the sound come out and everything who knows if they will be the same

When I saw them at the NJ Warped Tour in Englishtown, they played an acoustic set because "Judas woke up that morning with laringitis and tonsilitis." Now after hearing he's leaving the band, it makes me wonder if he really was sick. Also, to the kid that was crying about a keyboard player. They're not asking for a keyboard player to be added to the band. They said if the guitarist they're looking for can play keyboards too (like possibly for a song in the studio or something if need be) that would be a plus. Calm yourself. This still sucks though. Stories And Alibis was amazing.

Jo, that was the official press release from Lance Brown, their manager. This is 100% true, I was informed in person yesterday. By Judas at first, then the rest of the band confirmed the rest.

my friend told me he quit earlier today, but I didn't believe her because no one had it on punk news websites, but even then I honestly started crying. He is my favorite member of MBR (even though I love all of them) and I am so upset!!! :( all my friends and I agree, we aren't going to be too fond of the new guitarist.
