Just came back from the premiere of this movie. It was a decent Woody Allen. Not his best but quite enjoyable and hilarious at times.

Plus, Scarlett and Penelope were gorgeous.

Anyone planning on seeing this?

It definitely is quite witty and experimental. Well shot too. Didn't take note of cinematographer but he really brought out the scenery of Barcelona.

I am excited. I really like Woody Allen, even his new stuff.

It's weird that he's not actually the narrator though, because it's so distinctly his script. I'd say he's one of the more notable American auteurs.

the trailer/poster looked cliche and kina meh but this is also a Woody Allen film

i'm kinda disappointed this is only pg-13. i guess the sex scene with cruz and johanson isn't as steamy as first thought

i think it looks ehh, I'm not big on the acting skills of Scarlett(there really arent any). That being said, I'll see it as it's a Woody Allen movie, and will probably be better then I expect

Sounds just like him though. It's definitely his style of scriptwriting.

Agreed on the Scarlett note, she looks the same in every god damned movie, but everyone else is great. Javier and Penelope save the day. I went in expecting very little but came out pleasantly surprised :)

Looking on imdb it says Christopher Evan Welch is the narrator.

Yep. But the voice sounds like what Woody Allen sounded like in Radio Days. You'll see.

Also this is certified fresh at 81% over at RT.

IMDb says it's Javier Aguirresarobe who did the cinematography.

This was at 89% at like two this morning and it has just been plummeting since. Lame.

How? It is at 78% right now. That's like thirty percent better than his recent movies.

"it has just been plummeting since"

I wouldn't call that a plummet.

It has had a lower rating every time I've checked since it peaked, and I see 11% as quite a difference -- especially when it's nearly 90% compared to in the 70s. But who cares, no need to argue tomatometers, hahaha. I still need to see it, I think it looks good. Have you seen it?

Just got back from seeing it, I absolutely loved it. It was a very beautiful film, very well acted and im surprised how pleased I was with Cruz. My only downside to it was the narration, and to the person above that said it sounded like Woody in Radio Days was way off.

Tough to read a review with a typo in the first sentence.

Thought this movie was great though.
