What do you guys think?

I can't wait for his next book.

And to anyone who has never read Palahniuk...you need to get on that.

Choke disappointed me. I cast for Invisible Monsters, but Diary and Survivor were dang close.

Send me the link to one poll on AP about Palahniuk novels and I won't think you're a complete idiot.

Send me the link to one poll on AP about Palahniuk novels and I won't think you're a complete idiot.the search function isnt working for the Poll Forum, so ill give you that, but there have been numerous threads about chuck and his books and i'm sure if you look through the polls forum you'll see another poll. as for threads about him:

with poll:
http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=97849&highlight=chuck+palahniuk
various discussions:
http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=69669&highlight=chuck+palahniuk

just because you're on the internet doesnt mean you have to be a dick about things. i am a bug fan of chuck and i like discussions about him and his books, but their doesnt need to be a new thread made every time someone wants to talk about him.

and as for my favorite of his books I'd have to say Lullaby even though I know I'm in the minority about that.

no you're correct, Lullaby is his best. i'm a bug fan too. :-)

Fight Club will win, not sure if it's the best though.

I can't wait for the Choke movie.

anyone read Stranger than Fiction? its an amazing delving into him and experiences and such. for a writer like myself its a great read, then again, all of his stuff are great reads. I think invisible monsters and choke are the two best, but FC is good too i think it will win because its the most popular among non addicts to palahniuk

So, one poll, from 3 years ago, and a few threads from anywhere between '03-'06. I'm not sure how you bitching about the fact that I made a poll that hasn't been done in 3 years makes me a dick, but whatever, because if I would have posted in a 3 year old thread I would have been getting shit from someone for bringing back a dead thread. Its a can't win situation for me.

I'm really looking forward to his next book. Here is what its about in Chuck's own words:

"I've just finished the first draft of a novel called "Pygmy," a dark comedy about terrorism and racism. The lead character is a 13-year-old foreign exchange student sent to live with a suburban, white, middle-class family. Oh, and they're Christians. The visit is for six months, and he's one of a dozen similar kids, all shipped to America to live with typical families.

The secret truth is that Pygmy is a terrorist, trained since infancy in martial arts, chemistry and radical hatred of the United States. He has six months to build a prize-winning project for the National Science Fair. If he succeeds, he and his project will go to Washington, D.C. for the finals competition -- where the project will explode, killing millions.

So far, Gerry Howard says it's the best book I've done. Fingers crossed for luck."

Panic! at the disco plagiarized Invisible Monsters.

They openly said their song was about that book. And Motion City Soundtrack with their b-side.

After Fight Club, i really liked chuck and at the same time knew i couldn't read him too often, if again.

invisible monsters was great. i cant wait for these movies to come out. i just watched fight club again the other day with commentary from chucky p. very interesting. i recommend it. plus that movie cant be touched. it raises the bar on how movies should be shot.

Palahniuk is my favorite author and I've read almost every single novel by him, and I have to say Choke is probably the best. I was so connected to Victor Mancini despite his flaws, and behind all of the disturbing surface, the book touched me deeply and is in fact my favorite novel.
My Top 5 Palahniuk:
1)Choke
2)Survivor
3)Haunted
4)Fight Club
5)Invisible Monsters

Palahniuk is my personal favorite. I've read almost every single one of his novels, I'd say Choke is the best, and is in fact, my favorite novel.
