its been close to 2 years since Hawthorne Heights last album ' If only you were lonely' was released now they are back and releasing a new album 'Fragile Future' do you think Hawthorne's new album will be better than the rest, will it be worse, or the same.

my idea:
i think that they will probably do really good with this album, i think they have poured they're heart and soul into this album to make it the best it could be in honor of a fallen friend. i think hawthorne heights is gonna reach new levels.

i bought Fragile Future yesterday and listened to the entire thing. i really like it. it isn't as hard as it used to be and it has more poppy kind of sounds, but i think that most of the songs were supposee to be about Casey and that's what makes it so good. Because its showing the actual side of what happened and how it really affected them.
My favorite song is Disaster. and the little picture and poem in the back of the cd is pretty much heart breaking...

Yeah, "One Headlight", back in '96, I believe. They had a couple decent albums - Bringing Down the Horse was pretty big, since it had "One Headlight" and two other singles that were fairly popular at the time. Breach is my favorite album of theirs, but it didn't acheive the commercial success Bringing Down the Horse did.

i really dont think the new cd is that good, I mean its ok, it has its moments.

I just miss the screaming, and the aggressiveness that made HH what they were. The new album lacks the old aggressive tone, leaving behind a real "empty" sound. I keep waiting for the songs to pick up, become more aggressive, but they dont. A lot of the songs just dont seem to go anywhere at all.

3/5, I still love HH I just think this new record was a step in the wrong direction. Ill keep listening to it, maybe it will grow on me, but I think they should be more than just mediocre at best, and to me, thats all Fragile Future is.

Casey Calvert was the worst part of the band, and they're better off with him dead because now they can market themselves as the "wounded band trying to overcome" just like Bayside. I think it's a clause in every victory band's contract that you have to kill one of your band members off after your second album.
