most of the reviewers here seem to like most of what they review so whenever i see cons it is always 'too short'. i dont see how that is a con, sure we wish there was more but it probably has that many songs becuase the band wanted it that way and didn't want to drag it on and on. honestly, this record is 48 minutes long, just shy of an hour, anymore and it'd start to get boring. just my opinion

if the record is short it doesnt have to mean the band wanted it that way. sometimes they just cant afford it. but i understand your opinion. but sometimes a cd is just so good you wish it would never end. (see: jimmy eat world - clarity)

Mander Salis is the name of the character in the "story."

Read my review here (http://www.knifeparty.com/cutenews/show_archives.php?subaction=showful l&id=1092549092&archive=&start_from=&ucat=2&) after you're done with Jamison's.

Answers alot of questions about the new CD.

I can understand that, but when I like something, I want more of it. So, if there are only ten songs on an album, I want it to be longer. It's just personal preference, I guess. Like all reviews.

As far as writing mostly positive reviews goes, yes, that's accurate. The reason? When I put something new into my CD player and it sounds bad and I don't like it, I take it out and put in something else. Isn't that what you do? It's very hard to listen to bad music for a job you don't get paid for. So, we listen to what we like and we write about it. I guess that's about it.

Ooooh, a KP.com link. You've got guts, kid. Hah.

It's just an interview.

I was gonna submit it to either you or KP, and I picked KP, because of stuff like what Tate is doing today with the Straylight Run CD.

I really dislike things like that. I expect the idiot scene kids on MIRC and the commentators on these boards to brag about having a CD early, but not the news posters.

Yknow?

Good review, JK

Thanks.

I just finished reading your link. Good interview. I especially liked this part...
I don't know that all of us would vote exactly the same way so I can't speak for everyone else. We all are reading into the issues to make sure we are well informed before stepping into the booth. A lot of bands and websites are screaming at people to register to vote but very few are encourging people to really weigh all the different sources on information. Information from all sides. I would never want someone to blindly vote so to be honest I'd rather a lot of people didn't vote because they have not done research and made a decision for themselves. On top of that, I certainly wouldn't want anyone's vote to be influenced simply because they read that a band they might like is voting a certain way without doing additional research to make sure that the band has any clue in hell what they are talking about.

Those guys are awesome. I completely agree. All the "register to vote" bull crap. Honestly, 90% of Americans aren't mentally qualified to make an intelligent choice. They just vote for whoever is better looking or whoever the media is pushing... sad really.

totally i know if something is bad you take it out just i always wonder like i'm sure ap.net gets tons of album submissions to review and if the writers just pick out the ones that they like to review that isnt really helping out a band who took time to package and send a copy of their cd. even if the writer didnt like it they could at least get some sort of review describing the band so maybe if someone read it they might want to check it out since reviews are opinions of one person.
