Has anyone elese realized how much better 80's music is than most of the shit people put out today? In fact, I think that most music made from 1950-1990 kicks the shit out of anything recent... The music sharing era has helped alot of bands get "exposure" but its also made the value of music depreciate...

Here, i'll propose a challenge... give me a recent band that you think is awesome, and ill give you an *80's band that would kick their ass...

* 80's bands include any artist that has released a song or CD from 1980 to 1989...

hey speaking of, what do you think of the ben folds version of "in between days"? personally, i love it. i think it's one of the few actually good cure covers out there.

I would have to agree, i think it is actually the best cure cover song. When most bands try to cover the cure, they end up butchering the hell out of the song and it sounds like shit. But i love the ben folds version of in between days.

i think its a little different than the original, but i think its a great song (instrumentally & vocally), i dont see how they coulda messed that one up.. and im a pretty big cure fan soooo

most 80s' music sucks shit, i dont know what you're talking about (especially all that synth crap, wtf were people thinking?) i will agree w/you about alot of music from the 50s-70s, and early 90s (actually, only a few bands/people like SRV)...
