You can read an article here (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story?id=6437541&pageid=rs.Home&pageregion=single1) that talks about the Foo Fighters (http://www.foofighters.com)' plans to record a double album. One disc will be pure rock while the other is acoustic.

they need to return to Colour and the shape sound. That album was the best rock album of the 1990's, seriously.

I loved Colour, but i'm glad they've gone away from it. They're evolving really well. I think their last one was sorta the first step in a totally awesome new direction and this album is gonna be fucking awesome.

"I don't give a shit if President Bush likes my band," says Grohl. "I just don't want him using my music at his campaign rallies. So rather than sit back and watch, I took action . . . not as Mr. Foo Fighter, not as Mr. Nirvana, not as Mr. Rock Star . . . just an American citizen from Springfield, VA, who wrote those songs with an acoustic guitar and a notebook and a pen in his basement. Sing those songs, which are supposed to represent love, and hope, and compassion, and inspiration, and truth for a person that I 'personally' believe represents all of those things."

Fuck me this guy is pure goodness. But yeah, they've been building their studio for some time now, and the rumour about a double album has been floating around for a while. To me, every Foo album is a classic for different reasons, and I can't wait to hear this one.

You're from Alexandria? You've heard 'Headwires' right?

"The sun is on Arlandria
The sun is on Arlandria, headwires"

Arlandria was a place Dave made up combining Alexandria and one other place.

I think this album will be great, I'm sure it'll be a lot better than One by One.

The Colour and the Shape is in my top five all-time favorite albums, so good.

It's the combination for Arlington and Alexandria. Some of the places near me (pizza places, resturants, cleaners, etc.) refer to themselves as being located in "Arlandria" 'cause it's like in between the two cities. I guess he technically lives in Arlandria 'cause he has a house a few blocks from me (conisdered to be a part of Del Ray).

Yeah, and Foo Fighters had never written a pop song up to that point had they.
