I just got back from seeing Further Seems Forever (http://www.furtherseemsforever.com)'s first show with Jon at Purple Door. It was a really good 30 minute set with songs from their new album and a few from the previous two. They opened with "Light Up Ahead" and closed with "Bleed." They also played "The Moon Is Down", "The Sound", "Pride War", "Hide Nothing", "Someone You Know" and two others from the new album. How did he sound live? I think the new FSF songs are really stellar, but I have to say that I really miss having Jason Gleason as part of this band. He just brought such a fierce presence to their live shows and has an amazing voice. What is ol' Jason up to these days (besides his little stint with Sunken Ship)?

their new CD just sounds bland to me. it lacks vocal emotion and the new guy's voice just isn't that of guys like Chris or Jason.

I agree 100%. While musically the sounds are great, the vocals aren't up to par with Chris or Jason. It'd be interesting to see what one of those two would have done with the songs. I am still going to support FSF but I have to say the new album is a letdown. Bring back Jason.

I was at purple door too except i left before FSF. After having my friend tell me how bad Jon was at cornerstone and listening to the dissappointing new album, I was afraid seeing them with Jon would ruin the band for me.

I really think everyone is nuts. Jon is a fantastic vocalist. Jason was nothing special at all, I think everyone is just mad because he was better looking and had more of "scene" image. Jason is long gone, get over it, be thankful for it.

the new songs mark the first time i can listen to more than two further seems forever songs in a row without getting bored.

I just got the album and listened to it. "Light Up Ahead" and "Hide Nothing" are my too favorite songs right now.

The rest is a bit of a disappointment but it's not because of his vocals or anything. I actually liked Sense Field and his voice. It's just something different or something...eh, i don't know.
