Well it seems mp3's are the future, with itunes reaching it's 100,000,000 track downloaded.
I was wondering who here is embracing digital music.
Personally I prefer buying cd's and then putting the cd's on my ipod. I don't think I would buy tracks on itunes over buying cd's. I know quite a few people who hate it and somepeople who only download music.
What do you think?

I'm not down with the whole itunes thing.

I still prefer buying a cd.

I do think however, that the program ITunes is the best mp3 listening program out there. I love it's library and the way playlists work and stuff.

Plus - macs are so much more attractive. I'm a big sucker for those 3d blue bars and stuff. soooo pretty.

Yeah, I always use iTunes to listen to my cd's when I'm on the pc. It's easily the best program for listening to music, IMO.

I agree, iTunes rocks my socks off. Ive had Sony mp3 players before, but they've always fucked up after 6months. I can't imagine living without my iPod now...

I don't own an iPod, or anything of the like.

I buy cd's and download mp3's sometimes. That's it

I have an i-pod, and i buy cds.

Still cant beat that feeling of having a new cd in the mail, or at the store :)

I don't download full albums, just about 3 songs from each or from a band in general, if I like...I buy. :) Spoils the fun of owning a cd if not.

i dont use itunes yet, but when i get my iPod i obviously will, though the majority of the music i listen to will still come from cds because i like having the case and all the album artwork and the lyrics or whatever is else on the inside, though i know itunes now lets you print the covers

Wow, what technology has done today....

I'm too poor to get a iTunes, lol j/k. But yeah, I don't own one, downloading just dosen't seem the same as buying the C.D, I don't know.

i prefer buying cds of course, and ive never bought an album from anything like itunes or napster before, but for me that would actually be much much easier because there are no good music stores around where i live. theres an FYE in the two malls 40 minutes away on either side of where i live, and there are 2 best buys with them and out of the 4 of them only one best buy carries a large portion of what i want, and i rarely go to the mall so itunes or something like that would be very useful

My iPod scared the shit out of me this morning. The fucking click-wheel was dead. Thankfully I still managed to reset it (even though that involves using the click wheel  )and then it worked. Safe to say that woke me up...

4G, 20gb.
There are plenty of 'scare' stories out there about the 4th gen., but this little issue is the only problem Ive had so far. Hopefully it doesn't return..

i've never bought a cd through itunes. and i doubt i ever will.
i download most of my music. my favorite bands, i always buy their cd, even after having it downloaded way in advance.

i actually went to buy a cd last week- the garden state soundtrack, but the 4 stores i tried didn't have it. i said "fuck it," went online, and had it in 20 minutes instead.

I think it's worth getting a 4G just because of the 5 hours more battery life. I've heard a few problems with the 40 gigs one though.

I'm getting a 20gb one aswell.

I'm thinking about getting that Dell DJ thing, cause im cheap and refuse to shell out that much loot for an iPod.

Anyone know if you can put music you have on your comp onto those things...or do you need to download from their program?

the only thing bad ive heard about that is that it doesnt play songs on an album in order, other than that its supposed to have pretty good battery life i think
