When I first heard Boyz on the radio and saw the Paper Planes filmclip on Rage late one night, I hated M.I.A. so much. But I've been swayed. I had to be slowly broken in by Of Montreal's brilliant cover of Jimmy, the flogging of Paper Planes on the Pineapple Express advertisement, and Santogold's awesome album. It helps that Wilcannia Mob contributes.

This isn't the first time this has happened with me. I only liked one track on Of Montreal's Hissing Fauna... and yet now it is one of my favourite albums of the last 5 years (if not ever). Just wondering if everyone else has had this experience with various albums? What were they?

Aesop Rock, At the Drive-In, Saetia, Orchid and Converge are some bands that come to mind that I didn't like as first but ended up liking later. ATDI is basically one of my favorite bands of all time at this point so it worked out haha. Still can't stand MIA.
