The new season kicks off next Saturday with the community shield match between United and Chelsea, so thought I'd get an idea of who people support, who they predict to win the title/ get relegated come the end.

Post your thoughts....

I'm a Liverpool fan and for us it's either 3rd or 4th whilst hopefully more success against the other top 4 teams plus close the gap on 1st. Also seeing Keane and Nando lad linking up well together would be a plus, with another successful season for the latter. FA Cup I would be happy with, and to be able to take the European cup back from the Mancs but that may be too much to ask.

Can see Chelsea winning the league, United look like they may struggle start of year due to have a few out and with Scolari at Chelsea they could do really well, unfortunetly.

Relegation wise I see Blackburn as candidates, with Ince doing a Sammy Lee and not lasting long. West Brom also could be the leagues whipping boys, I can't see a problem scoring goals but Mowbray has never been one for tight defences, I do hope I am wrong mind. Leaves it between Stoke and Hull for me now, whilst they seem to be doing their all to bring in new players of the right calibre I reckon it could be a stretch too far for either of them.

You think West Brom could be the whipping boys and not Hull or Stoke? Hmm.

Mowbray likes attacking football, but fails to get a good steady defence. I can't see Stoke nor Hull playing anywhere near as attacking as West Brom who may suffer for the way they play.

Last season they conceded the same as Stoke and a bit more than Hull, but scored a fair few more than both. There's not much there to suggest that they will concede loads and get beaten by a lot of goals each week yet Hull or Stoke won't.

Man Utd FTW!

But I think we're gonna need another striker.

...Hopefully Berbatov.

I'm a Blackburn supporter, and it's not looking too wonderful. I don't think it will get to the point of relegation, but I'm not really expecting a top half finish.

Still excited for the season to get under way however.

Welcome to the forum, we actually have a soccer/futbol thread at the top of the forum stickied, so general non-specific discussion can go on in there.
