I voted for Aaron Rogers without even thinking about it. This bullshit is finally done with so I really couldn't care any less about either of these guys.

Statistically....Brett Favre
Team-wise...Aaron Rodgers

favre. the jets will be the surprise team in football this year. faneca will let jones see more holes and now that favre is at qb the league will see how sick coles can be. cotchery should also have a decent year and improve that much more. its going to be exciting

Individual stats and team wins/playoffs.
I actually think Rodgers will have better stats than Favre. Maybe not passing yards or TDs, but he'll have less INTs, a better TD to INT ratio, and a higher passer rating.

The Jets aren't better than the Patriots, Colts, Jaguars, Titans, Steelers, Browns, Chargers, maybe even the Bengals.

the patriots are still the better team but the jets are never a walk in the park for them. colts ill give you also. as for the rest of said teams i dont think its impossible for the jets to beat any of them. especially the san diego superchokers.

Like Roethlisberger did his first season though...because he'll be expected to throw 20ish passes a game, mostly shorter routes, and they will focus on the run.
I think statistically, even with INT's, Brett will have a better season...by a good amount too...but that the Packers will still finish 10-6 while the Jets finish 8-8

its not impossible for any one team to beat another on any given sunday...that doesnt mean the jets are a better team in the long run than any of those teams

rodgers.
i think favre will take some time adapting to the offense.

I say Favre strictly from a numbers standpoint. I think he'll put up better numbers because the Packers will manage Rodgers in an effort to minimize his mistakes (which, in turn, will likely minimize his passing yards and TD's).
I think the Packers made the right move for the future of their franchise and I don't think Favre made them more than a game or two better.

I don't think either of them will do particularly well, but I'm hoping for Favre. After all, I am a Lions fan.

I said Rogers because I think Favre will have trouble adjusting.
i hope the madden curse returns

Option C: America for not having to hear updates about whether Favre is at home, the airport, or jerking off or whatever else it was they were updating.
Who is the best Quarterback in the NFC North? Kitna, Rodgers, Jackson, Grossman/Orton

Kitna by elimination. not really sure how good Rodgers is yet

This is probably the first time in at least 50 years that the Lions QB has been the answer to such a question.

Jon Kitna is fucking garbage. Give me Rodgers just for the fact that he's 25. Kitna is a worse decision maker than Scott Mitchell.

absolutely, i think i voted for rodgers because flipping to ESPN and seeing the favre coverage pretty much makes me throw up now. i think there has been more coverage for favre in a week than for the NHL all year long. and that is wrong.
For some reason, I just can't see Favre doing well with the Jets.

it's going to be tough, this is a different offense and it may take two months to develop rapport with coles, cotchery, and the TE (minus franks even though he's a good 4 years past his prime, maybe more)
i understand the long-run comment, but in football you'll never reach the long-run for a couple of reasons: 1.) the season is only 16 games, 20 max; 2.) there's so much parity and competition in a league filled with a lot of occupational turnover, that it's rare for even a core group of guys to stay together more than a few years.
that doesn't mean the NFL is a crapshoot, but compared to other sports with longer seasons one could make the case that luck plays a much more significant role.

Honestly, it's a hard question. I'm gonna go with A-Rod.

I think the Packers made the right move for the future of their franchise and I don't think Favre made them more than a game or two better.I couldn't agree more. I'm so sick of Favre's "I'm the face of your franchise...I can do whatever I want and you have to take me back when I want to come back" attitude. He wanted to retire, they moved on. Done.

It's not that I think Favre will struggle in NY, I just think Rodgers is going to bomb in GB. Gut feeling.

Favre had a lot of help last night from Bubba Franks in deciphering the Jets playbook. He said it's the same system just worded differently, so he helped Brett translate it into their terminology.

that'll still take some time to get used to it though. the green bay terminology is so embedded in him that moving on will be rough. it'll help that the systems are similar, but terminology is a bitch.
This is tough. Rodgers has what must be almost crippling pressure around him but I think he has a better all around team, mainly better running back and recieving core.
I think Favre will have a good year though and he'll be well protected. The Jets are going to have a much improved offensive line.

I think Farve is going to play great again this year. I also think Rodgers will do just fine in Green Bay.

I honestly think the Lions have a chance to take the NFC North, they haven't been in the playoffs since 1993, and Favre helped beat us then.
Kitna needs to go, but i'm afraid they don't really have many options quarterback wise. I highly doubt Drew Stanton is gonna get many snaps this year. But I think he has the potential to be good in a few years if they use him right.
rodgers? but i don't really care

I really wanted to say Brett Favre, because I love that guy, but Rodgers has a seasoned Packers line to work with, while Favre has not-as-great Jets line. Plus, Rodgers has been with the Packers for a couple years now and knows the team better than Favre would know the Jets at the moment.
Go Brett Favre nonetheless.

pretty sure the Jets Oline > the Packers Oline at this point..

yeah. the jets have a good line. they haven't played together for too long, but there's more talent there than on the packers' line.
