The only thing I can think about when I think about the Smurfs is the little segment in Donnie Darko about it. Hilarious.

If it is as good as Shrek, I'd see it for sure. I loved those little fuckers when I was a kid.

Somebody (whoever that is that keeps spamming the site in random threads) posted smurf porn once and that's all that I keep coming back to. Donnie Darko may be able to take my mind off it though.

It was. Kind of gross too. They were clearly rubbing the blue paint off of each other as "things" were going down.
Edit: This of course means that yes, I watched it.

According to Wikipedia, you may be left smiling and satisfied:
Current plans have Jordan Kerner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Kerner) producing with Shrek 2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek_2) and Shrek the Third (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek_the_Third) screenwriters J. David Stem (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=J._David_Stem&action=edit&redlink=1) and David N. Weiss (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_N._Weiss) in negotiations to write
Apparently it's also going to be a trilogy. Which will be insane.

Eurgh. I couldn't stand the Smurfs growing up and if Shrek 2 and 3 are anything to go by this will be a doubly whammy of hate. On a similar note of films theres no need to make, wtf Tintin?

Shrek 2 and 3 were definitely not movies I'd prefer to sit through again.

Exactly, I turned the 3rd one off less than a 3rd of the way through it.

2 annoyed me enough and I really had no desire to see 3 because the trailer looked lame but then my 8 year old cousin had it on at a family get together and I was sucked in. Movie was not good.

Totally. Most animated films lately are awful though, Wall-E is the only one Ive seen in the past few years that didn't suck.

I really enjoyed Wall-E. Pixar is usually (not always) safe. Dreamworks is pretty hit or miss a lot of the time. I just read that Kung Fu Panda is already getting a sequel for 2011. If they give it the Shrek treatment, they'll kill it in no time.

Pixar is alright, I didnt like Cars or The Incredibles though. On the Dreamworks front, Madagascar was the worst film I've ever seen. I hated every second of it. Id rather nail my dick to a table than watch the second. I couldn't finish Kung Fu Panda.
But yeah, I held off on seeing Wall-E for a long time but was really amazed when I did see it. The love story was very well done and I was really surprised how much you grow attached to Wall-E and EVA through the course of the film. They out-acted most of Hollywood.

Hahaha, that's some unbridled hatred for Madagascar if I've ever seen it. I haven't seen the movie or its sequel myself. Didn't look interesting to me. I do remember liking Antz though it's been a long time since I've seen that one.
I wasn't impressed with Cars either.
Ditto to the Wall-E comment. Kind of sad when a cartoon robot and his female cartoon robot counterpart, both of whom speak nothing but their own names, outshine most of the other love stories in live action Hollywood.

Oooh Antz was great, I saw it again over Christmas actually. It's kind of brutal when you think about it, the war was pretty graphic. Well, as graphic as anthropomorphic Ant dudes being melted in CG can be. Haha. Trust me though, never ever watch Madagascar.
Cars felt a little forced, its hard to explain, but so many things about it didn't gel for me. As for Wall-E, thats so true. I haven't seen a love story in a film in a while that seemed quite as genuine. Im so going to have to watch it again today, haha.

You guys are so right about Wall-E. I loved that movie.
They said so much, but spoke so little. Haha

I'm glad you are telling me to stay away from Madagascar because I recently came across someone who kept insisting that I should see it and I was still so unsure...
I have been wanting to see Antz again. It's been such a long time. I remember when I was a kid, my mom didn't expect the movie to be what it ultimately was so she kept flipping out and getting nervous any time they swore and especially during that battle. I do remember that, particularly because of my mother's reactions.

I think that's what really sold the movie for me. Without really saying much of anything, it pulled emotions from me that few other movies did this year.

Same here. It was weird that I got so attached to one character especially with barely any dialogue. But that's why it was so awesome. I really need to watch that again.

I gave it to my girlfriend for Christmas and we watched it again. There's a really great special feature on the DVD about the history of Pixar that's very interesting to watch.

That's cool. I need to pick this up.
But I really want the two box sets. One of all the shorts they make and the other that has all of the Pixar movies up to Ratti... (don't know how to spell it). It's like a hundred bucks.

I saw that and was tempted to buy it but then I saw that price. I still want it but I also want my money....perhaps in time. I really want that shorts DVD though. I'd love to have all of those.
