I have a few friends that are really into jam bands(O.A.R., Moe, Phish, etc.) and all I ever hear from them is "Punk music sucks". I wont lie, I like some of the songs, but people into jam bands seem to act more elite than some punk kids. No matter how hard I try my friend just says "punk music sucks". Theres been times where he'll play a song that sounds similar to songs I like too. Maybe its just me, but I was just wondering if anyone else knows people like that.

And just incase anyone gets pissed...I'm not saying anything bad about bands like Phish or other and I like alot of their songs.

Never heard that. I know a kid that loves jam bands. I love jam bands. ( Great stoner music. Tehe. ) Your friends are just elitist assholes. There are some in every "group."

Just tell them to shove it up their asses and get the fuck over themselves. Or just make fun of them since Phish broke up.

R.I.P Phish.

Just next time he starts, just be like, "Yeah. Fuck you." If he keeps going, proceed to make fun of Phish breaking up. If he feels the need to continue after that, just hit him in the face.

i like some jam bands. My fav is Rusted Root though. I was never a huge PHISH fan or anything. Oh yeah, and Im not a stoner either, although going to a Rusted Root concert, you might become one because of everyone else smoking around you.

W&L kids - mostly Southern - love jam bands. It makes me want to gouge my eyes out. If I say "Taking Back Sunday" or "Thursday," they think I'm talking about my plans for the week. If I say "Yellowcard," they think I'm talking about a soccer foul. "The Juliana Theory" is some intellectual movement.

Here's another prayer that a hot Southern girl who loves punk rock shows up in the freshman class this year.
