Ok, so this is a pretty specialized question. What would Bertrand Russel and AJ Ayer have to say to Descartes concerning Dualism? Descartes was, obviously, a Cartesian Dualist. However, Russell (to my knowledge (though I'm not certain)) and Ayer are adamantly opposed to the idea of anything metaphysical. Would they consider Descartes concept of mind and body metaphysical? If so, what would they have to say about it?
