What are some of your favorite local bands? I'm from georgia and some of my favorite local bands are The Sloppy Meateaters, Punch Drunk,OH Sweet Irony, Nor Am i, Treephort, Here Comes the Metric System. speaking of the sloppy meateaters they're backkkk!!! they have an awesome new song on their myspace page CHECK IT OUT!!!

Yeah, they were a pretty bad band before they basically rearranged their sound. They added the screams, before that they didn't have that. And now they rock. Haha.

houston calls and hidden in plain view are both local bands for me. my best friend is the street team leader for twilight city fracture and they are pretty good. i know one of the guys in sleepwell one of them grew up in my town they are pretty good
twlight city fracture are an awesome band, i <3 drew lots, he's such a nice guy

there are way too many for me but, i love johnny b-hive, he's a singer/songwriter who just left NY for nevada...

Big D and The Kids Table- who you probably have heard of

Plan 17- Another great ska band

Lost City Angels- you have probably heard of them to they are great band a some very nice and funny guys

Beehive Trumpet Bumpers- another good ska/screamo band

Donkey Box- they are an awsome local emo band, the bass player just graduated from my school, they are supposed to tour with Punchline soon

Yea, they're actually from New Bedford, but 45 minutes is close enough. Great fuckin band, but they don't play that much around here... they've only played one local show in the past year and a half, I think? (not including Warped Tour.)

well, my brother is in a local band here in Duluth, they're called Longanimity but i love the band Number One Common. there's others but i like them. i don't make it to many shows like i hope too.

actually, i do some falsetto ooooo's at the end of 'paint me red, give me a new perspective; reflections' on the play like pianos one, but you can hardly hear

actually, we really love the mars volta nad brazil, our newer songs are more complex and stuff like that, not as complex as them but you know.

im curious what people think, we have a couple more songs coming for that one too

be honest, some of my friends told me it sucked, and that actually almost made me feel better than the people who say "its cool" becasue i know theyre being honest when they say they dont like it haha

that song is completely repetitive though, the same thing for five and a half minutes

do you know say anything? one of the playlike pianos songs is sounding a little like them, all the stuff is freestyled on that band, so it just came out sounding like them becasue we were listening to them a lot haha

Piebald used to go to my high school. and i'm proud of it. a bunch of their songs are written about the town i live in, Andover MA. it's pretty cool, their new video for "Haven't Tried it" was filmed right near my house. they also play small a small concert downtown every christmas. it's all very cool.

also Apollo Sunshine is near us if anyone's ever heard them

yo im from england, and i think YOU sonny jim should be checking out 62pennies. these are my boys from birmingham ready to give you a (musical) punch in the face (they're not rough or anything..). apart from the soft name, they provide a live show that rocks your socks off.

but yeah, cliches aside, i may be biased, but they are a seriously good band.
