Halloween, it has definitely survived the test of time. The old Dawn Of The Dead and Texas Chainsaw make me laugh where as Halloween can still scare the shit outta me. The Shining is good shit cuz Kubrick was a God and every other Stephen King horror adaptation pretty much sucks.

I'm definitely looking forward to Saw that movie looks scary as fuck.

I thought "It" was pretty freaking scary. The book was better than the movie (obviously), but they did a pretty good job. Maybe it was just because I was around 13 when I saw it for the first time, though.

But I agree with you about Saw. My roommate showed me the trailer and it looks pretty intense. I'm looking forward to it.

I have to add se7en to the list. The Sloth and Lust killings scared the bejesus out of me.

I never considered Seven a horror movie, but it is definitely one of my favorites. "It" used to scare me, but I watch it now and just see bad acting, bad story and just overall very under par movie.

i'm not much of a horror movie buff. 28 days later did it for me though.

and however crappy this movie may be, i remember seeing scream when it came out in the movie theaters and thinking it was the scariest thing in the world. but then again, i was in like.. 7th grade.

halloween has survived the test of time. halloween 4: return of michael myers was also really good but not too scary. the last movie to really scare me was the exorcist which was in like soph yr the first time i saw it. i gotta say its prob more a phobia then scary...but i am terrified of arachnophobia.

I love Halloween and new TCM is just awesomeness and a half. Saw looks scary as fuck, and Ju-On looks like it'll be a bit creepy. I hope so, I haven't been creeped out by a movie since I saw The Ring opening day having no previous knowledge about it. So yeah, before you make fun of me, keep in my mind I didn't even know it involved a girl.

even though the special effects were horrible, it scared the hell out of me as a kid.

the evil melty face guys and popping out from behind street corners and dark alleys just were never my thing. sure it freaks you out for a second, but the horror films that really stick with me are the ones that never seem to make sense until the very end, and there's no clear "bad guy". Haunted House movies are the best.

They should so make a movie of the Fourth Tower of Inverness. Oh, man that'd suck!

well if this can be defined as horror, I would say "frailty"...

But since many people don't consider that actual "horro" -- I'd have to go with "The Exorcist" -- Love the movie, but I could never watch that without somebody with me

You my friend, rock. That movies so good, I love it. And I live like, 20 minutes away from that asylum. Such a creepy place in person. I've heard LOTS of stories about the place too from friends and even some teachers. A while back they(cops or whatever) found these stones in the ground with numbers written on them, and they didn't know what they were. Turns out it was a graveyard that no one ever knew about. Crazy shit.

i hated the first amityville movie buit i loved the second one, the rest are eh...

the first one is based on the book written by the people that moved in after the killings and the second one is based on the family that was killed

by the way, the whole story is complete bullshit imo

and to the kid above me- you live near there? just looking at it in the movie creeps me out, i'd be terrified of it in real life

plot synopsis on May?

Throwback
09/30/04, 03:11 PM
May is about this girl who grew up with no friends because she had a lazy eye and her mom forced her to wear an eye patch. Her mom gives her this doll and says 'if you can't get friends, make them' or something to that effect.

Fast forward and now of course May has zero social skills but she falls in love with this guy, specifically his hands. The first hour is about her trying to have a normal relationship but her weirdness is too much so he dumps her. Needless to say, she goes nuts and starts killing. The movie is way gory and I loved it and the ending is.....bizarre.

My favourite horror movie is probably the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This movie actually scared me, I saw it in theatres and everyone was freaking out. The other horror movies I see are so retarded, their all the same, I can't wait to see the next chainsaw movie..oh and a House of 1000 Corpses was pretty good I agree.. it was pretty nasty though but still good
