the season two finale was a big cliff hanger, so start watching the encore of season two now, its on sundays at either 10 or 11 i'm not sure.

I love and hate this show. Awesome story and great actors but when they are on that operating table its like GOOD GOD I DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT. The worst was in season 2 where hit hit too hard and the chisel went through her nose into her brain. I almost puked and I hardly ever puke.

I didn't want to make a new thread about this, so I found this one

Season 2 just finished over here in the UK, and I gotta say I'm not the biggest fan. But the last 4 or 5 episodes, I've been hooked. And the finale, oh my God, I had no idea about it. It was really scary actually, seeing the Carver in Christian's house.

Oh man, I need this season now so I can watch it all the way through

This show is amazing. I have season one on dvd, and it's incredible. the drama in it is so strong. It's amazing that it can push the boundaries and be so scandalous on one hand, but can also be such a strong dramatic show on the other.

definitely worth getting into.

The season 2 dvd is nearly out. I'm so excited. Like most tv shows, i've never seen this on actually television, and just have the dvds, so i've been going crazy since finishing season one. I can't wait for this to come out!

My schedule just doesn't work with watching stuff on tv. I always miss shit and it's so frustrating. So I'm confined to watching them on Dvd. I wish they'd pump them out faster.

EDIT: WHen you say crazier though...does that mean that it's more intense and well written and stuff? or just that they do more scandalous things? The reason I like that show isn't because they push the boundaries and do things that really tip the morality scales. I like it because the drama and writing is so strong and powerful. I'd be upset if that took a back seat to the shockvalue.

Nip/Tuck's pretty awesome. It's a crazy ass show, like how that one girl is actually a dude. Thats fucked up. Theres also another pretty cool show on FX called The shield. It usually comes on after or before Nip/Tuck, I think anyways. Anyways, cool shit.

the shield is alright, but it's not up to the caliber of shows like nip tuck that are worth owning on dvd, because they don't feel like a tv show. shield is cool, but i wouldn't buy it on dvd.

I got into it near the end of season 2, but it's starting again on Channel 4 here in the UK so I'll be able to watch them all

Christian won't die, but I have to say the end of Season 2 was quite possibly the greatest finale to any TV show I have ever seen. It was so beautifully filmed, and you just don't see it coming

it sucks (or maybe it's better) that so few people know about this show. I saw one of the first episodes, and was hooked ever since. It has one of the best plot lines I may have ever seen, so many unexpected twists.

I'm not too keen on the new surgeon, but maybe he will stir things up?

I think it's Julia, a bit sketchy but I think they are going to make a big move like that. She has been an emotional wreck for a while, skilled doctor so she could do the Carver cuts, knows all the happenings of McNamara/Troy so she has all the knowledge there that she needs. For many reasons I think she could be it. Likely it will be a male character, but Julia with a strap on will be my out of left field guess. Someone I know said Christian and Sean together, which I found extremely interesting, but doubtful.

its going to be liz. someone at julia's after surgery spa will get carved and then youll know its her. about how she "raped" christian...strap on...guarantee it. and last nights episode was awful for the record.
It was sort of pointless but I wouldn't call it awful. I don't know, I just get the feeling it's going to be a really, really main character. Nip/Tuck is intense like that, I could totally see them do that.

well its set up perfectly for it to be mcnamara now, with the new doctor banging julia, they could just make it a split personality or something.

They have already signed on for a fourth season. So that would totally ruin the of premise of the show. Nip/Tuck is McNamera/Troy. Sean being the Carver would turn off many loyal viewers.

but with all of that being said there is a still good argument for Sean being the Carver. I believe Sean was the only carver victim that wasnt raped? Split personalities..etc.

The way I think creator Ryan Murphy is trying to lay it out is, make all characters have a good reason why they could be the carver.

Here are my reasons for Liz being the Carver:

1.She has knowlege of medicine(anesthesiology)Required by the Carver to paralysis victims.
2.She has major issues with beauty.
3.She would have reason to have a strap-on(shes gay).
4.She has access to Christians Sperm which was planted at Crime Scene. She got sperm from Christian in an earlier season because she wanted to have a beautiful, intelligent baby.
5.I just think shes fucked up in the head.

I loved the Season Finale off of Season 1. Sean and Christian smiling as they look at the scree and say "What do you not like about yourself?" Brilliant! With that said, I wouldn't say its one of my tippy top shows because it still goes for too much shock value and they keep using the characters in predictable cycles and story arcs. The Carver, I personally find very interesting though.

Yeah, they have to save it for the very end. That's the only way they can do it. We won't be able to find out why the carver did what he/she did and how until next season. Or, they might pull something like the carver being revealed but no one on the show knows who it is. Just the audience.

We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I dunno, I just can't see it as Quintin. He didn't come on the show til this season and Carver attacks started this season. As far as I know they flew him in from Atlanta for this season, so I just can't see it being him, the continuity is not there for me.

I would like it to be a total surprise though. I know it can't be a woman, since you know... he rapped Christain and all, but I would love to see it be like.. the cop that always calls Sean into the crime scenes. Or even better have it turn out to be Escabar, even though I know it can't happen.

Hmm...I dunno, I'm just not feeling the theory... I don't want it spoiled and I don't mind a pleasent surprise, but I don't like it being Kit... it does make some sense, but she kinda disappeared. And even if that were on purpose, wouldn't Christian have noticed when he was doing the job on her that it might have been a little jagged or less precise? Plus she doesn't have any sort of medical degree, meanwhile it seems to me like the Carver has to have some sort of expertise.

She is obviously a pretty smart women so she would be able to research how to "carve" victims and know the right amount of anestsisa(sp?) to inject victims with.

I dunno, it's not an awful theory, but I'm really not feeling it. She hates Christain, but she already had her revenge, or at least thought she did. Then when he had to he called her bluff and she was attacked. That right there is the reason it can't be her... at least in my eyes. She let him go cause she was attacked. She wouldn't have arrested him and then attacked herself just becuase of Christian talking to the media... Wouldn't happen. Plus, just the fact that she's a twin, even if she is, doesn't really equate to anything. I don't think that they were ever trying to get the point across that rape/attacking was in their blood/hereditary, I just think that they were showing the pain his mother felt over everything.

I think it's Julia for many reasons. In the teaser for the finale, they show a "surpised" Julia as she opens something, I think that it is Julia opening a curtain to reveal police officers with guns pointed towards her.

It's not the worst theory I've ever heard. I don't like youre saying that just cause she moves a curtain that its police being a reason, especially since I think it's going to be Quintin dead like we saw on there too. I just personally am not sure anymore. It could be Julia I guess, but I think that it wouldn't make much sense, especially since it would just help Sean and Christian out in the end, plus she wouldn't attack both of them like she did. There's too many holes in it for me to believe, but I guess it is possible.

Well, I could have sworn that the carver was going to be Bobolit, it would have made the most sense if you think about it. Season 3 was a little weaker than the first two, but the fourth starts on 9/5 and I'm sure it will be another good one. Can't wait.

I have all three seasons on DVD. Its up there as one of my favourite shows.

The third season just took it too far in my opinion (the carver resolution was poor, monkeys getting surgery, incest, men without dicks, women grafted to sofa's, people with amputation fetish's?!)

It was still great, but not as good as the other seasons.

Did anybody else fucking despise Matt throughout the whole season as well? He was nothing but a dick right up until the last episode
