RELEASE NOTES
Kenny was at this party and brought over this demo they're
sending in to Geffen Records. He got so drunk and passed out,
so a nameless member of The Prize Fight decided to jack it and
rip it. Source is from a 4-track recorded in Kenny's basement,
so the quality's not so hot. There are a few other songs
floating around, but these are the only seven on the Geffen
demos. The track names may not be permanent, either. Enjoy!
They are cool, not as catchy as Say It Like You Mean It tho.

Those demos are over a year old, half the songs arent on the record and all of the song names are wrong.

the track names are a bit unusual though...hmmmm hope they change.

They aren't too bad at all, they definitely make TSL sound like more than a "one trick pony". Even as demos, the tracks sound like both a continuation of their previous sound and also like something completely new. Even if these demos are old and most will not be featured on the new album, it's still sorta nice to hear something new from them, and it's also quite nice to see how they have progressed since Trombino butchered their sound on the full length.

Demos are always different than the final version cd's thats why when I got these things I was hoping they woudlnt get released on the net. I know kids would base their whole cd around these (terrible quality, demo versions) and i dont tihnk that's fair.

You gotta remember the key word here people: DEMOS
These are your standard small mixer recordings. Look at the pictures on their site, It's of them in a basement with headphones on playing. They probably did live recording just to get something down to show people/Geffen.
The new cd is going to sound kickass. Each song is good as hell, but my favorites/guesses for the new album are Suprise Suprise, Sex, Photograph
yeah the demos are terrible... but they are just demos so im sure they will be better

These songs are demos that were not made for people to listen to as a finished song. The band recorded some ideas of what they want to do and then work from there to build songs for their album. If they wanted everyone to hear them and were ready to share them they would have been released by the band.
If you want to hear what the new starting line record will sound like head over to www.startinglinerock.com and watch their video updates all 4 of them have versions of the songs from the studio. And once again I will remind you all those song names are not the real song names.
Yeah I also think these demos are a disappointment... :(

i refuse to watch the videos on www.startinglinerock.com because of the stupid registaration, WHY DO U NEED MY ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER?? i dont want crap in my mail box
these demos are so very good...especially for being recorded in kenny's basement and in such a short period of time...(plus they were recorded close to a year ago) but anyway i'm soooo pumped for this album...i hope classic jazz is gonna be on it.....either way, it's gonna be incredible as always. The Starting Line is brilliant and kenny is the man.

This is to the titles
Photograph is Photography thats confirmed by mike in the video diary 4 soo we know that song is going on the album. Also the song point A and point B is the song that is played at the beginning of the video diary 2 soo im guessing cuz that was there it will be on the album and also for that song i dont think it is called that though because i heard from a site that they played new songs live called "Photography, The Rain Cloud and I, and Making Love to the Camera" and in that song they use the line Making love to the camera sooo maybe thats the official but i have no idea sooo thats just my guess and the song kenny plays along to on the bass in the 2nd video diary and the song Tom plays on the drums at the end of the 1st video diary is the demo song Scream and Sleep which is number 5 sooo im thinking that will for sure also be on the album and we all know about Surprise Surprise soo thats my tidbit on it all. :lol2:

STOP blaming the prize fight its been noted that it was not the Prize Fight that did this, even if they did i really doubt it would be this big huge problem between two great friendly bands. So stop spreading rummors, no one truly knows any names of any of the songs hell Suprise Suprise could be called "go fuck your mom" (NOTE: Highly doubtful) but no one knows, so who cares :P and i wanna hear these demo's if anyone has MSN messanger someone wanna let me know because i can't use AOL so please someone hook a brotha up!!!
And stop cutting up tsl great band guys, one band that is great, and even if the cd sucks, well they will be making enough money just because it sucks, and if it rocks well then they will be getting paid more then the avg american surgens :P
