The only thing I know about these books is that some of my friends loved them, and they're one big Tolkien rip off. I guess the series has a pretty big following though.

Hmm...a movie adaptation could be amazing but more likely it'd just be terrible. Not sure how they'd work around the whole 12 novels thing either. I suppose they could probably just wind it up after the third book (which I think Jordan originally intended).
