Show some love. Toasters & Pilfers vocalist, for those of you that don't know, but should know. Love this man.

he's a rather talented toaster, but still down on my list of toasters to have gone through bucket's band. the music he's a part of these days does very little for me, too... punk-ish? needs to get together for a one off album with someone like the stubborn all-stars (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=272067), or eastern standard time & really let loose again

he was in nz a while back, laying down some serious rhymes with a local ska band. but i don't think anyone has heard the results yet & now they disbanded! they should still release what material they had, it was a very interesting clash of artists

Ah, i love the punk-ishness haha. I haven't heard anything with the Fear Nuttin' Band yet though, have you?

opp, yea their album yardcore is out, but i haven't actually picked it up yet. heard bits & pieces, enjoyed what i've heard, some was decent, but some not quite what i'm after in the ska realm haha. interesting mix of styles, i'll give them that, & the toasting is pretty cool. also has a bobby lee appearance (soldiers of jah army!). i'll reserve a final judgement when i've actually heard the whole thing though

ah, alright. i actually just found it, and will be listening to it sometime today haha.

I've heard a little bit off their album, and it's alright, not spectacular though.

ay, a katie sighting! nothing stood out for you? that's too bad. i can't wait to hear this, i'm just waiting until i go out so i can play it in my car haha.

08/14/08, 10:51 AM
Nah, nothing really stood out for me, I don't know why. I haven't heard all of it, and I only gave it a quick listen, but as of right now it just didn't click with me. I'll have to give the full album a proper listen soon.

I'm liking this so far. The toasting is great. Chris might really like this actually.

The toasting's pretty good, yeah. I could definitely see Chris liking this.

this group has soo much potential though. even if yardcore doesn't click, there's still hope upon later releases. just hope they fulfill that potential & don’t remain dormant

Yardcore is clicking so far. I only got through the first half before throwing on some Toasters, but I'm liking it.

"Vibes" is soo good haha. It reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it.

weeberteeoatser

Fusing metal, hip hop and Jamaican Dancehall, Fear Nuttin band’s Yardcore might be the first album in history to cause a mosh pit that ends in hugs and high fives.

Hahah <333 You know?

Hey hey hey. We're both almost halfway to being prestigious, you know?

I can't say I enjoyed about 95% of that. I hope we can still be friends. I really do.

Oh. :-(

Yeah I suppose so. :-(

But it's totally my thing. I have a lot of things, it's one of them.

versus_god
08/19/08, 05:33 AM
I like that three seconds of one of their songs sounded like "Paper Tiger" by ALL, so, you know. I'm into that.

allhourcymbals
08/19/08, 05:35 AM
Hahahaha oh no. :-(

Did you at least enjoy any of the toasting if not the music?

versus_god
08/19/08, 05:37 AM
I was actually thinking that I would have enjoyed it more if the music wasn't so totally, you know? That is all.

weeberteeoatser
08/19/08, 05:37 AM
I love the feel of "Real Music". Makes me want to shake it, you know? Delicious.

versus_god
08/19/08, 05:38 AM
I liked that one. Totally.

Fear Nuttin Band is playing here with Streetlight and the AKAs soon. Hmmm.

versus_god
09/12/08, 02:34 AM
Streetlight crowds are totally obnoxious but it should be a good time. Maybe FNB will sit better with me in a live setting.

But ay dios mio, whenever the AKA's open for bands I like I can never make it out to see them. I'm not into it.

Streetlight is from my town, so I think it's a liiiittle different when they play here. There are a ton of kids that come out just for them and have enough respect to not be idiots.
