That sounds awesome. I had an interesting nite. Went to this venue in OK city and this hardcore band was playing. The e something or another. They were awesome. Then we went to this frat party and I had some beer. Yeah and now I'm here.

I wanna go to Long Island
its funny bc i was just saying to my friend "i want to go to australia". Long Island is nothing to rave about. Our average temp last winter was colder than alaska's..and thats just not fun.
(random though) Has anyone ever felt more comfort in talking to someone who you've never met before and who lives halfway across the country than talking to someone who you're super close friends with and you love a lot? I've told people I've never met before things that I've never told any of my close friends. I guess it's the feeling of knowing nothing u say will cause drama or come back to bite you in the ass bc the person doesnt know your friends. sorry, im weird tonight and i NEVER post serious comments in these forums. But there is a first for everything.

shelly rocks so hard and the Ppople in this forum are sick. I usually don't post in here much but I'm going to fire it up more often, i like this. I think i'm going to post one serious/semi-insightful comment on here every saturday night, Just to stir up a discussion of sorts. Most people in here seem to be bored on saturday nights so I'll create some drama and conversation :wink3:

heres the deal with LI.... we have one indoor venue here...it holds 250 people. Big bands cant even play here bc the venue is too small for them. Almost every festival scheduled on LI gets shut down before it even starts bc locals complain. and the town governments are fucking ass holes when it comes to music and kids having fun. So just imagine how many more bands would be coming out of LI if this place didnt suck as much as it does.

yah ok i just realized. i would rather be in li than florida. you just have to put up with the biggest pricks in the world(including the all-stars such as osama bin laden and fidel castro), but we in florida have to deal with 3 hurricanes in a month. ah, fuck, in the end we are even. my cousin got a knife to his neck while he was going to college in li

he was going to five towns. its tiny its only got lik 1000 kids in it. its in.....farmingdale i think....but he was staying at the SUNY campus cause they didnt have enough dorms. he was outside the movies one night, some kid threw a football at him, my cousin kicked it back to him. the kid got pissed and said he disrespected the football and to kiss it and say sorry. my cousin pissed him off with his famous temper and next thing he knew he had a knife to his neck. haha.

i went there for the open house thing, its fucking nice. the dorms are nicer than bill gates house. damn. the only reason my cousin left was cause he couldnt put up with the people at the SUNY dorm. and his room mate would stay up all night with his friends getting high. and then the incident at the movies just put him over the edge. now hes in boston. hes gone to 3 colleges and hes only a sopomore.

the best thing about LI shows, is whenever you go to one, you know you'll see someone there who is in a bigger band. I went too Finch a couple of weeks ago and Vin Accardi of Brand new, Ben from From Autumn to Ashes, and the guitarist of glassjaw were in the back of the venue just chilling together. John Nolan and Matt Pinfield were there last week when i was at an acceptance show. We only have one indoor venue and it's super tiny...so no big shows come around anymore unless it's warm up tours (like finch's).
