Nice Simple Thread About the Upcoming Movie. Tell me who's excited. Who's seen the play. What about the cast? Anything dealing with the upcoming movie. Anything at all. I'm excited. Are you?

Lionsgate is a joke. First they say they have faith in the movie and giving it a wide release, then its scaled back to a 'limited' release, now its 5 US cities and 1 canadian. Even the directors home town isn't getting a theatrical releases.

I just read that due to the success in early cities and universally positive reviews the movie is expanding to a few other cities. Hopefully it will see a wide release.

And all the genre associated reviews are nothing but positive (a couple are listed there). Your site also has 90% plus positive rating from actual viewers.

but you said universal, which it obviously isn't. and i would take user ratings from RT with a grain of salt. most the people who scored it, probably haven't seen it yet haha

Saw a clip -- Paris is in some black latex outfit in an alley.

Not interested. =)
Reviews if people see it! I want to know how bad she is.

ya that is my fault, I'm still shocked that a movie with such limited appeal and limited release gained that level of reviews. I thought for sure only genre related sites were paying any attention to it.

For the most part all genre related site have lavished it with positive praise. That to me is worth more then the negative opinions of 'generic' reviewers.

This movie has been getting increasingly bad reviews. All the opinions are interesting.

The reason viewers like it is because the trailer is a filter. Critics/Reviewers have to see it. Anyone who thought that shitty trailer looked good is probably gonna like the movie regardless.

It looks good to me and I usually don't go for those type of movies.

I hope so. In Louisville we get loads of Indie and limited release stuff so if it expands we will get it. I heard the critics trashed it but the fans loved it. Almost all the user reviews on Yahoo are positive so I'm pretty sure its awesome.

Rarely do I follow what mainstream critics say of genre films, horror sites for the most part have loved it, as have most people who have seen it.

Dreadcentral is the what turned me on to the film. http://www.dreadcentral.com/reviews/repo-the-genetic-opera-2008
