probably brought up countless times, but if it was, i missed it. so which bands are underrated? i'll say Motion City Soundtrack. there isn't one song that i don't like by them, they're great and deserve much more credit and exposure than they're given

i agree with motion city soundtrack, also, name taken, the early november, the format, yesterdays rising, limbeck... and even though saves the day is pretty popular, i think they are underrated.

yeah, there are definitely hundreds out there. My personal favorite underdog I guess would be Mae. They have incredible talent and disproportionately little recognition.

all bands I love are pretty much underrated since they're underground indie bands so I won't even bother making a list.

though I do agree with Helen... Mae are pretty underrated and they're so freakin amazing.

I agree with the people who say Mae. Destination: Beautiful is a great album.

Sunny Day Real Estate, even though a lot of people on here like them, but in terms of just most of the music made in the world, I'd definetly have to go with them. And if nothing else, than just for Diary because that is one amazing album.

I'd have to disagree with the Postal Service though, because I've heard songs of theirs on MTV and I was even the mall with my mom and sister and they were playing Such Great Heights in Macy's. Although Give Up is an amazing record.

I'd say:

Days Away
Name Taken
Beloved
Jeremy Enigk
RX Bandits
Cave In (I love their atmospheric and heavy sound)
Taken (I really wish I had gotten to see them live)

That's about it for me.

What is this? 1997?

It didn't say current- these bands do not get the proper respect, and for that comment I'm going to add that cyndi lauper is underrated- b/c she is

Paulson. If Doghouse finally gives them the resources they deserve, this band could be a lot bigger.
