Same here. Today is one of their birthdays, so I made a cake. Well, while it was cooling, she grabbed a spoon and ate the middle out of it. I mean, who does that?

Haha, that's strange. Someone just can't wait.

Dude that's awesome. I know it sucks for you since you did all the work, but think about it, when you're 90 you should totally have the right to do shit like that and I'm sure she was stoked that there was cake around. When you get that old you should have fun with it.

qft. my grandpa is 91 and still drives to the grocery store. he always comes back and tells us how me might have hit a car or not. and he doesn't give a shit because the worst they can do is take away his license.

Well, only for the past week. I'm staying at my grandma's house for a few days. It's certainly different living with older people. Things just go slower - and things that are pretty effortless for us, are a bit harder for them.

I like your avatar!

In response to this thread... my dad's mom (who is in her 80's) stayed with us after she heart surgery (and during my senior year of high school). It was the worst few months of my life.

My grandparents fucking rule. They're in their 70s and go to bars, gambling, and go on cruises. I tend to hangout with them more then my parents, haha.

Great name for a bakery!
I had cake today at a friend's birthday party, and it was delicious.
Vanilla funfetti cake with blue icing...I felt really bad taking a second slice when no one else did though. :-(

It's so fucking annoying, just like the way I typed up there.

Yeah, it's a lot funnier after the fact.

My grandma's been living with me for a few months. I love her lots and was pretty comfortable with the whole thing at first. But its starting to get to me now. I feel so bad about it though.

MY gramps is the shit, he's always tellin me stories from when he was younger and they crack me up, mostly because he just makes them up based on whatever subject the rest of the group is talking about. But, from what he says, he's accomplished many many things in his life, and if his stories were true, he should be an astronaut gymnast who taught hulk hogan wrestling while coaching FSU's basket ball team to victory and winning the world series, all at the age of 22. Amazing man.

My grandfather is the most stubborn old man. He refuses to believe he is ever wrong, and never stops talking about Cuba. Ever. People are afraid to be alone with him because he'll start talking about it, and once he does, he makes it impossible to leave for hours.

I've lived with my grandparents my entire life. They're both almost deaf, so they have to yell at each other to have a normal conversation. My grandpa's fun to be around, though. He likes to randomly break out into song.

Everyone at my house was tense and mad at each other. It was my dad's mother, who has always been quite rude to my mom. My dad works in Washington DC, but we live in SC, so my mom was taking care of her, and even in her condition, she continued to be horrible. It might be bad, but I don't like my own grandmother.

Well then... that explains it I suppose.
