what are you talking about? does she mean that Fall Out Boy, TBS, Thursday. Thrice, and Brand New have all "sold out" because they have been on the cover? i hope not because that would be a really stupid thing to say. and by the way, can we stop using the phrase "sell out" on this site? it's so cliche.

they were on the fucking cover in march 2003 WAAAAY before this album was thought of. does that mean they sold out then. no. it fucking doesn't. the term sell out, if OVER fucking used.

on a good note for this issue STRAYLIGHT RUN IS IN IT! and a review for their album but they probably gave it a bad one cause they are in love with bands like Simple Plan and Good Charlotte

Yes, finally Straylight Run...can't wait for October. Hey and for anybody who thinks that bands that are on the covers of alt. press are sell outs, I still don't think so 'cause people here in my part of the suburbs still don't listen or like the used. People here like nfg, simple plan, good charlotte, bowling for soup,...those kinds of "sounds".

it may be the latest thing to be into screamo/emo/hardcore, but that doesn't suddenly make the used a crappy band. who cares what magazine they appear on? magazines are supposed to make money and what better way to do it than to plug a popular band? even if the used is as big as backstreet, i'll still love them if they continue to make good music. i mean, weren't a few of us there when bert was throwing up on stage? this band has come along way. i just know that the last cd was great and i hope the new one is as good or better.

i listened to this cd on the Used Nation. its the most embarassing and disappointing piece of garbage ever. I love their debut album, its really great. but this cd is a bad attempt at pop music. its just simply embarassing.
there are a couple highlights, like I'm A Fake and Lunacy Fringe. Let it Bleed is okay... but stupid. Listening is probably the best song on this cd, but most of these songs are repetitive and pointless.
all of the emotion that was on their self-titled seems like it was thrown away for some benjamins. wheres the effort? if i were the Used, i'd cancel the release of this album and get back to work in their basements in orem.
i think they tried too hard to make this cd something big, and ended up selling themselves short. we all know they're capable of making better music. hopefully they'll realize the mistakes they made on this cd, and make their next release something that will blow us away, just like they did with their self-titled release.

i might be a little harsh, but keep in mind i'm only on my second time listening to this cd.

this makes me very sad. i was afraid the passion was spent on the first and might be hard to bring out again. still without a cd i can only listen to what everyone else is saying and hope you're wrong...
