I dunno, I feel like it's kind of all over the place and not in a good way. There's some stuff I really like and some that's meh.

this is definitely true. anyone that sees them needs to bring ear plugs, because they like it very, very loud. the self titled is phenomenal, it's been SLIGHTLY downhill in my opnion since then but that album is incredible. running/returning is one of my favorite songs in general.

I have no problem with it being "out there," I just don't think the songwriting is as strong; some songs are solid whereas others seem uninspired or underdone.

Holy shit. I just saw them live, and I only knew the stuff they played off of Love Is Simple. I never bothered exploring beyond that. After tonight, I will be checking out everything they have done. Their live show is one of the most energetic sets I've ever watched. For half of it, 7 out of 8 of the band members were playing some form of percussion, and they pulled kids out of the audience to play tambourines and shit. Phenomenal.

They played at a free festival with Kaki King, A Horse And His Boy, Momo, Final Fantasy and Polar Bear as the other main bands. It was a cool festival. And yeah, they definitely did a lot of noise-making. Was really entertaining though.

I only own the self-titled, which I picked up because Michael Gira signed them/produced it. It's good, but I was never compelled to search out the subsequent releases.
