You could at least say what you look for in lyrics. Anyways; Say Anything, Elliott Smith, Circa Survive, Iron & Wine.

Haha, oh Sisqo.
i've always enjoyed Mineral's lyrics:
And I want to know the difference between
What sparkles and what is gold
I wonder how many eyes
Are fixed like a vulture's on me
Now I wonder if I can even move or breathe
Without disappointing someone
And I know what they call themselves
But I don't remember inviting them
To put me on this pedestal
And make me feel so naked
Afraid to look down
Afraid to turn around
I bring it on myself
I know I bring it on myself

Falconer's lyrics tell stories!
Idk what you're looking for though, mind clarifying?

I guess I was vague, but I didn't want any specific style... just ones that stood out. Lyrics make or break most music for me.
Some of my favorite bands lyrically are: Brand New, Cursive, The Good Life, The Matches (hit and miss for me), older Alkaline Trio, some Chuck Ragan, some The Format, Kevin Devine, Portugal. The Man, et al.
Thanks for the suggestions thus far.

Listen to Falconer, if you're wanting like.. epic story-telling lyrics. Almost all of their songs on the album coming out are about stories from like the 1300's - 1700's.
