I still can't figure out what this show is trying to be? It's a reality show??? Cuz it sure as hell looks like some bad acting.

Also, the promo for the show on MTV has this catchy ass song that I can't get out of my head. Can anyone help me out?

it's supposed to be a reality show about what kids are "really" like in the OC, although laguna beach isn't even in orange county. obviously parts of it will be overdramatic/staged/realworld-esque, but i'm sure i'll still watch it. i'm a sucker for OC type shows.

i hope the kids in this show get hit by a big 16 wheeler during some sort of live segment, and the kids that eat this shit up commit suicide because of it

I hope a couple of them are like kissing and then one of them accidently dies but it turns out they were making out on the roof of a kids house and the kid falls off and lands on the table with some pies and cakes with knives next to them. Then those fly into the air and land in kids skulls and arms and stuff. pretty soon, the cops come to help them but they decide to eat the food that wasn't too "damaged" from the ground first. hopefully this will lead to another, more crazy, second episode in which the cops are on trial for deaths they could have prevented.

Uhh..Laguna Beach is definatly in Orange County. It's right next to Newport Beach which The OC is based in, so yea, it's just trying to be like a "real" OC. It's definatly going to suck, it's definatly going to be overdramatic, and it's definatly going to give Orange County and even faker shittier image. Most of Orange County is places like Tustin, Irvine and Santa Ana people!!! Real towns, not resorts.

I've given up on TV. Its turned its back to well written scripted sit coms. The new stuff from the simpsons hadly gets me to crack a smile. Luckily, Family Guy as a new season coming out on FOX soon, which is a miracle when I think about the crap thats on. It sounds counter-productive saying everything new is crap, but the only shows I watch are repeats of Seinfeld, Older Friends episodes, old simpsons, family guy. The only show I think is kind of neat is like Samurai Jack and like Home Movies, I'm such a kid, lol. But yeah, booh TV, but maybe family Guy will make me not so bitter towards televison, remebering the good ol days. Anyways. I don't have MTV, so I have no idea what this show is about, so...It sounds typical and dumb, and reality TV is the devil cause its to genuis of an idea, or was before it was cliched. Cause like so many people watch it and perfer it to sit coms, etc, and its cheaper to make. Wow, taking marketing is helping in real life. I have no clue what I'm talking about.

All I know is they played Postal Service in the one promo and that made me want to watch the show even though it will probably piss me off watching spoiled fucks whine because they didn't get the Ferrari they wanted or the chick they just cheated on is with another guy now.

i watched some of it, and even tho MTV kept saying "this isn't a show" the camera work is way good, and everything looks sorta fake, they act like real people tho, in my opinion....so i dont even know

i actually thought it was quite interesting

i LOVED the song in the promo, where the song goes something like "everyone lives in silence" right before that guy mouths "i love you"

Yeah I thought it was bad acting as well, but then I saw the promo commercial and remembered how the guy was making out with the girl on the rock, stopped for a second, said, "This is not acting", then starts making out with the girl again.

Either way, the show looks really dumb.

Personally, I had trouble deciding whether or not it was a reality show or staged, but since most people are saying that it's reality, then wow. It's a really shitty show. But in the end I'll still watch. I doubt it's really going to get any better though.
