Driving home last night from the RX Bandits show in San Francisco my buddy had a mix tape on in his car when a hip-hop song came on featuring Matt Embree from the RX Bandits. allhourcymbals provided me with the link to this guys myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/vitalmc

Apparently he (Noel Vinson) and Embree are linked by V.I.T.A.L. Emcee being on Embree's label.

If you like hip-hop or not, this is worth a listen. Noel Vinson draws from many different styles in his music and his lyrics cover all sorts of topics. My favorite song on his myspace so far is 'easy to pretend'

And since you deleted the thread, I'll say it again:

The massive uproar of Matt Embree love in this forum lately (even if a large portion of it is me...) requires me to change my pants every time a new post is made. It's awesome. I love you guys.

Secret of the Invisible man is an incredible record, one of my top albums from '06, def pick it up if you don't have it. He has an incredible flow, definitely intelligent and well executed. A Primal Symmetry is one of my most anticipated upcoming albums.

he, Matt Embree and Maylay Sage also make up the band Seekret Socyetee, their only album is out of print, but I'm pretty sure you can download/listen to the whole thing on last.fm. Matt's brother David (The Optimist) works with him a good deal too. He put out GZA vs Tom Waits this year which I love and has some other stuff coming out.

Glad to see people digging this stuff.
