I went to the Days Away (http://www.daysawaymusic.com) and The Starting Line (http://www.thestartinglinerock.com) show last night. Days Away were amazing. They played all songs off their new album, keeping in mind most of their songs on the new album are remakes, but they did play like two or three new ones. The Starting Line also did a pretty good show besides the crappy sound system in the gym. Their new songs sounded excellent, though. They played about four or five new ones. Nothing too poppy, nothing too generic, all very new sounding. Very catchy.

...because there are so many rules about music and what you're 'supposed' to be making.

i really like the TSL demos that have been floating around the net, granted their manager said half of them might not even be on the new cd. i can understand that though, some of "demos" were songs i heard them play live almost a whole year ago.

good stuff, nonetheless.

i submitted the headline... harder songs? ehh yeah, some are still the same kind of genre as "say it like u mean it" but they are just diff, thats all i can put it right now... but they are advancing as a band musically, they arent all teeny bopper pop songs (the new songs)

4 out of the 7 demos should be on the new record at least by the studio diaries which included Surprise Surprise, Photography, Scream and Sleep, and Point A to Point B(which i think is called Making Love To The Camera) cuz they were being played during the video diaries but who knows. Plus they had Classic Jazz and Lasting impressions

Sweet i cant wait for this CD...some people are saying like that the new CD will blow up much like Yellowcard's Ocean Avenue seeing as they are going on tour with them. I for one dont think soo but who knows

The Starting Line don't have a song called "Scream and Sleep" Also they recorded a bunch of songs that will not be making the record. I think at last count 15 songs were recodrd but the album will probobly be 11 or 12 songs.

To the kid that said something about the starting line getting harder and screaming in their songs, I can promise you they have nothing at all like that. If anything the songs are less hard except for maybe one or two and those songs that are more aggresive but are not scremo at, all just heavier than shit they did in the past. They have grown musicly but not in a way to sound like all the cheesy shit no one wants to hear and their is not one scream on the album.

I was at this show. I didn't really enjoy Days Away. They came off as kinda creepy...the singer/guitarist stared at the ceiling the entire time. The Starting Line kicked ass, though. They played some new songs that sounded sweet. And the sound was extremely shitty! Overall, it was fun.

anyone either know A- the tracklisting or songs being re-recorded for the new Lava Records release... or B- the songs played at the show that were redone? If anyone was there or knows hit me up on AIM if you want.
