i kinda agree with you in some ways. but some bands just blow- and its frustrating to hear about the "fame" when they dont deserve it. granted, they work hard. but theyre trying to hard and they suck at making music. so therefore, good charlottes SUCKS and they need to quit. unfortunately they have established a very strong pre pubescent teenage girl fan club, so they will sell millions of cds. ....and theyre playing on howard stern? what the fuck?

See, here's the thing, Good Charlotte makes music for themselves, not one of them has ever woken up one day and said, "HM, YOU KNOW WHAT, I'LL START A BAND AND WRITE SONGS SO I CAN CORNER THE 13-YEAR OLD GIRL MARKET!!!" although i really dislike the direction they have gone in since their first cd...i have to say that they have worked hard to where they got. its not like they jumped into this "fame" over a period of only months. they've been around for years now. just like yellowcard- both have worked hard for what they have, its just a lot more people support yellowcard.

i commend gc on working hard; however, i scold them for the crap they've been putting out lately.

Im not above bands or music. Just when they sell out. How did Good Charlotte go from "Little Things" to "I Just Wanna Live" in less than 4 years? HOW! I ASK!

If I was a true music elitist I would say Green Day sold out cuz they sold 270,000 there first week or that modest mouse, coheed & Cambria and taking back sunday have sold out because they have acheived mainstream sucess. But those bands all deserve their success because they never altered their style or who they were to get to that point

The measure of a musician is how genuine you are about you craft and when you completely 180 your music integrity (cough GC) and image you do infact sell out and suck in my book

I cant wait to see the writing creds on this album.

Besides, as far as I'm concerned, aside from one or two songs, its still a GC sounding record. To be honest, I wanna live makes my skin crawl, just as boys and girls did. But just because they made one bad song, doesn't mean I will forever hold it against them. I really do feel bad for GC.

They worked hard to get where they are now so just give them a break for awhile. Their success hardly affects you or any of the success of the bands you do like.

I think you're wrong. There are plenty of poeple on this site who are in bands or write music, there's a strong chance some of them write better songs than gc. Hell, I've probably written better songs than them, it wouldnt be that hard.

I do feel for those people who think that people hating GC is a trend I remember when the trend was too hate blink a few years ago and I always have liked them since Dammit and that sucked getting harassed. But I dont think this is a trend because the band really does suck. They dont have more talent then everyone on this board.
