There isn't a thread yet? wow. Guys are amazing. Rabbit Habits was a great release but Six Demon Bag has to be their best.

Ya I'm torn between the two albums. Both are so damn good. And actually somewhat different/original

I like Rabbit Habbits more because there's less gratuitous percussion flying about the tracks. Plus, Poor Jackie is one of their best songs.

I saw them last year. I wasn't that into it. I think the problem is that I am a really big Tom Waits fan, and their music just seemed like an average imitation.

How are they trendy? At all? I don't mean to hate, but it seems so many bands are labeled "trendy" because people like it.
I had the same argument a while back about mewithoutYou, which is suddenly "scene" and "hipster"...WTF? When did this happen? Last mewithoutYou show I went to seemed to lack any size, or for that matter, scene hipster douches and preteen girls

Being namedropped by every indie/hipster kid I've ever met while knowing less about the band than I do makes Man Man a trend band. None of said "fans" will care for the band a year from now. Keep in mind I'm not saying you can't genuinely enjoy them. If you do, more power to you. They're simply an act defined (in my mind) by how fleeting the support they've garnered will be. Happened to countless others before them.
No idea where the mewithoutYou thing came from though.

I see where you're coming from. And the mewithoutYou thing is why I argued your point, I thought you had no basis for it. And maybe things are different up in Canada but I'm the only person I've met who has heard of Man Man.

I absolutely love Rabbit Habits and think it's definitely their best work. It seemed they were more concerned about writing decent songs as opposed to just weird ones on that one.
