I think there are a select few drugs that are good to try at least once. Weed, well weed doesn't count because the majority of people are at least in a sound state of mind when they're high. actually a lotta drugs are given to people that are not good for people. morphine is given in hospitals to sedate people as well is some opium. and most pain killers one way or another fuck you up.

I never said it wasn't a drug. But Shrooms are 100% natural, as is weed. Anything that is natural that isn't going to kill you, cannot harm you that much. the only way the gateway theory can be applied logically is not that trying weed makes you want to do other drugs, but rather it puts you in contact with people who do other drugs... the more you're exposed to a certain environment, the more you're willing to go along with it.
in reality, marijuana doesn't make you want to try "harder" drugs. marijuana doesn't develop a tolerance and it's not physically addicting. it doesn't kill brain cells and it hasn't been proven to cause cancer. not to say it can't be abused, but i can think of a lot worse things to do than to smoke pot, like heroin, or voting for bush.
i did a full out research paper on the legalization of marijuana for my college comp class, so this topic will haunt me to no end.
