I know that (obviously) many people on this forum have an interest in music. Whether it be the skill of playing an instrument or the simple love for melodies and lyrics. SO - I'd like to know what everyone would like to be. What does everyone wanna have a career in for the rest of their life? I'm jus curious to see if some people have a love for music so strong that they wanna be a music teacher, or a roadie, or a professional musician, or a band manager, or a booking agent, or to own your own studio. OR there can be those people who only enjoy music as a hobby and really want to be doctor, or a librarian. Jus curious... that's all

I want to be a biomedical engineer. I'm actually going to get my mechanical engineering degree right now, but after I graduate I'm going to pick up some biology courses and get my biomedical engineering degree as well. I'd like to help design or "engineer" prosthetics in the medical field, probably focused mostly on injuries or prosthetics for athletes, seeing how I am an athlete as well. I'd also like to play on a PDL (Premier Development League) women's soccer team or if they bring it back or if I was actually good enough to play, the WUSA.

Yea, I've got some pretty high aspirations.

OH! I'd also like to go back to school and get a Japanese minor since I took two years of Japanese in high school and really enjoyed it. I figure it would probably be a good thing to have seeing that they do a lot of amazing engineering work over in Japan.

i am (get ready for it) a commercial recreation, hospitality and tourism management major. everyone laughs at me, but seriously, there are some lucrative opportunities in the industry.. there's a lot of travel involved and not a lot of behind the desk work. and i'm hoping to somehow work my way into maybe managing a venue.. that's what i'd really like.
i was an international economics major, and i was thinking about going to law school... until i got to financial accounting, and decided i was through with business school.

but anyways, about the topic...

i'm pre-med but only because my family wants me to be. i dont want to be a doctor although i'll do it if i have to.

i'm pre-law too because i'm really into politics...i wouldn't mind getting into politics somehow. maybe as a politician, a lobbyist, analyst, or something...i dont know. i'll figure that out once i'm in law school maybe.

and of course, i would love to do something in the music industry. i try and do what i can with PNJ and see if that ever takes me anywhere, but probably not. something music-y is like my hobby for now.

I'm trying to get into medical school to be a surgeon. I'm not sure specifically what kind of surgery I want to get into yet, probably cardiac, neuro, or orthopedic. I have to get into medical school first, as my signature would suggest. I got rejected everywhere I applied my first try, but I think I should get in when I reapply next summer. Otherwise, I'm just going to have to start my career in the exciting and challenging world of White Castle. Or drive off a cliff.

I want to start a free orphanage for disabled kids of different colors. I would teach them to believe in themselves and respect people of all color, race and gender! music is a hobby for me. i'm neither instrumentally talented, nor even greatly vocally talented. and that's even after being in choir since 5th grade! so, f*ck that.

i am going to go into elementary education...after i get out of the hell they call "high school" and after i get out of college. i chose elementary because i can only imagine the extent to how bad the kids will be in middle school and high school when i get out of college. so, i'm going with the littler kids to try to protect myself and my dignity!

I'm debating going to college or not :/
I feel bad because I've always been uber into school, and studying.
I made it into the top 10 of my class so I'm happy with that, and I'd feel guilty if I decided not to go to college,
like high school was a wasted.

Just I don't know what I want to be, or do for the rest of my life.
It's scary.

I thought about being a band manager,
but I'm not sure how to get into that.

Maybe a music teacher, or hair stylist.

At this point in time I want to be a geography teacher. I love the idea of teaching kids (aged 12-18), seeing them progress through school and being accepted to universities, not bothered if its for geography, but as long as I make an impact in a couple kids lives' it will be worth it, thats the kind of teacher i want to be.

That said, I'm only in first year of my geography course right now, dropped out of engineering after 2nd year after deciding it wasn't what I wanted to do (i knew it was geography, but my school told me otherwise when i was there). Another idea is within the renewable energy field, but mostly likely will do teaching, prefrably at my old school.

well at one stage i wanted to be a carpenter cos i was digging woodwork.
then i decided against it and wanted to be an astronomer but i didnt have the grades.
then i wanted to be a forensic scientist after i got inspired by CSI
then i went to uni studying history and geography because i liked them but i didnt know what i wanted to do with it.
i got my degree and still didnt know
now im studying again to be a customs broker. Its not really what i want but i work for a good company and i'll have a well pid job when i finish so i can enjoy my life.
