there's not a lot you can do in 10 minutes. I'm sorry you feel that way, but I didn't know the answers to a lot of the things i asked. I'm a big fan and i've never been to their website, and i'm sure lots of other people didn't know those things as well - especially how he felt about his album being leaked.

Good interview Scott. I think the answer he gave to downloading is how it should be, use it as a tool to weed out what you like and dislike then go buy it if you like it.

all in favor, say "yea."
all opposed, say "nay."

He's answered the downloading question in like 69 other interviews. If I had 10 minutes to talk with Jim Adkins, I would put some fucking effort into it, not make up some bs press questions. This guy wrote "Clarity" for fucks sake, and he wrote another album which went platinum, the least you could do is a little research.

It's not BS questions. Futures is their first album in over 3 years - I was asking questions about it because it's what is relevant right now. The album comes out next week. I had other things I wanted to ask, but in 10 minutes, you cover what is needed - and nothing is more relevant than Futures for them right now. As for research, don't even start. I've been listening to Jimmy Eat World since Static Prevails. I know about that band. They're one of my favorites, and have been for 6 years. I know about clarity. I also know that Jim has probably answered millions of questions about Clarity and Bleed American in the last five years. The way he answered my questions were not rattled off like a press statement. As soon as I get my new computer, I will try to find a place post the mp3 audio of this interview, and you can hear for yourself - he didn't answer these like they'd been asked a million times. You frankly do not know what you are talking about. And another thing? Press questions? What do you think I am? Why do you think I was given the oppurtunity to talk to Jim? This is a form of press, even if it is a website.

Read that thread and find out you shithead.
And I don't even need to argue with Scott anymore, he admits that he didn't conduct an actual interview, he created a press release in the form of a Q and A. He didn't mention any pertinant issues like the drop of Mark Trombino, JEW's label switch, nor did he use any questions provided by ap.net users. What is the purpose of the interview if all of the information (including Jim's view on downloading) is available in past interviews?
