I just caught the pilot a few minutes ago and WOW, this show is awesome. Hilarious, truthful, and full of great tunes (Postal Service, Dashboard, etc.). Quality show that reminds me of Garden State for some reasons in its filming techniques.

How so? It's a show aimed for teens, so advertising in Seventeen seems appropriate to me.
I love this show. It's not as good as The O.C. but it's still good and surprisingly funny. The only thing that bugs me is the name Dino and how it focuses just a little too much on his mom's affair. I'd like a little more with Jonathon and Ben, just because they're the ones who make me laugh.
I've never seen Garden State, but I think it'd be fair for me to say that no, it doesn't have the depth of it.

I always want to watch this show because all my friends rave about it 24/7. Buuuuut it's on at the same time as CSI which really sucks because I'm a CSI nerd.

I am such a nerd and I get so wrapped up in these teen dramas. I can't handle it, but I love this show so much, haha.

the thing with LAWKI that's making me like it less with each episode is dino (that actor and his character annoy the crap out of me) and his slutty ass girlfriend. the parents bug me too, mostly because they're the most boring characters ever. if they just focused on the guy dating kelly osbourne and the kid dating the teacher it would be better, i think.
but it still wouldn't compare to the o.c. in my opinion because they still wouldn't have adam brody.

I agree completely. And same with jackie, she's a really bad actress. And I'm not the kind of person that can let that slide just because she's really really good lookin.

The idea for the show is okay, some of it's funny, but the acting is absolutely terrible.

Tonight I was at my friend's house and it was just me and one other girl..and it was showing on TV and we made them stop the channel..and they actually liked the show. It really amazed me that the guys would end up being the ones saying "NO DON'T CHANGE THE CHANNEL!"
