I wasn't going to post this, but..don't trust this band.

We all know stealing is bad, but stealing from a blind seventeen year old girl in my book is a whole new level of douchebagotry.


While on Warped Tour i found myself in a situation where I had to find a new rid to the July 26th Long Island, NY date. I rode with a band called Solo 67 from Texas. We got along the entire time I was with them, i gave them gas money, I even offered them shows for the next time they planned on coming back east. The morning after I asked if I could ride with them to Scranton. They said it shouldn't be a problem and that I could leave my things in their excersion. I spent the entire day with Chris. Everything went well. When it came time to pack up he was nowhere to be found. I waited around at the bbq all night for him or anyone else in the band, they ever showed uup. Lucky for me, the Briggs let me sleep on their couch on their bus that night(the Briggs are probably the nicest band I've ever met, for the record). the next day I came across another member of the band. He told me he would have my things with him at 5 -clock, and that I should come back to the tent then. I did, he was gone. Later that day I searched the entire parking area for vans and came up with nothing. Chris later texted me saying that their lawyer said they did not have to give my things back, but then said he would mail them. It's been a month and sice then I've gotten nothing.


I'm making this public because I don't think it's fir that they can get away with doing something like this. At first I just thought they were busy but they've been off of warped tour for three weeks and nothing has happened. I'm asking that if you are a band, promoter, or even just a kid that likes to go to shows that you DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BAND. If they're capable of doing that to me, a hard working disabled promoter, God only knows what they'd do to someone else. As I stated I was not going to make a big issue out of this but they've lost their chance to prove to me that it was a coinsidence.

There is no corrective surgery for what I have because it's an imprint on my lenses that'll just grow back if it's removed. It runs in my family. To use a computer I have to have my face against the screen. I also can't control my eye movement.

I'm actually quite the skeptic, but I trusted in my friends ad my gut that they were okay people, and the entire drive to NY and even during the next day they were rad guys. I enjoyed being around them. I'm just not one to jump to conclusions about people, and I generally try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, es[ecially new people.

This is something we never thought we'd need to address on our myspace, being as it is no ones business, but ours and the person who left their bag in our vehicle. (one more time, the person who LEFT their bag in our vehicle.) So this is what happens when we give someone a ride to the next venue on a tour, so they aren't forced to ride with a drunk driver. We gave them a ride to the show and went our seperate ways. At the end of the day we found the bag was still in our car. No big deal, as this person was supposed to be on the tour for 2 more days, and had mentioned possibly needing another ride that night. Once again not a problem. Bus call (the time when everyone on tour is supposed to leave the venue) comes around and this individual is no where to be found. We could not reach them via cell phone or text. We know that they are on the tour until we get to Pennsylvania (in 2 days), so we will be able to get in touch. We go to the show the next day. Can't find them again. No text messages, phone calls, myspace messages, nothing. The last day that this individual is on the tour comes around and our merch guy sees them at the show. They talk and this person asks if it would be cool if they get their bag out of our vehicle. Since we are all obviously working, he tells them it would be no problem at all for them to retrieve their things. That's all we hear from them until around 11 that night, when they call one of us and ask if we can deliver the bag to their house. This puts us an awkward position, considering this person knows how this tour works and that you can't deviate from the route because of the long distances driven everynight and the schedule that it's on, not to mention the fact that they knew how to get to our vehicle and get in it (we unlocked it for them) to get their bag . But once again this is not a problem. We have to go miles in the opposite direction of the venue, but we know from experience that it sucks to leave your belongings somewhere. So we ask their address and leave the venue. We were given the incorrect address devoid of a street name. We waited 2 hrs. at a restaurant for a response. Which means we will be late to the next show, but we just want to get these things out of our car and to their rightful owner. After 2 hrs., we don't receive a single reply and decide to head to the next show. The next day we receive a text message saying that this person "fell asleep". So what to do? Drive 7 hours back? We ask them if that is what they want us to do? Or can we ship you your things? We both agreed that shipping these items (which we would pay for) would be the logical solution...except we need an address. An address that we repeatedly asked for but never received. Which we FINALLY got today, Wednesday, August 20th, which mind you is completely different from the previous incomplete address we intitially received. So for all of you people who don't know us but choose to leave us comments that are insulting, biased, and completely untrue, you can relax. As far as the relationship between us and the person who these things belongs to goes, we have been on friendly and open terms since this whole ordeal happened. We've been trying to get ahold of them since we had the bag. We're sending it once we get home to texas in just 3 days.

This is just something we believe has been blown way out of proportion. If you left your backpack or purse in a friends car and they didn't return it right away, the bag that you yourself are responsible for, would you call them a thief?
