I usually shave it all off every 2-5 days. It's getting past the 5 o'clock shadow phase. I don't have any empty patches when it grows so my entire face is being stabbed by the stubble right now causing me to itch like I have aids or something.

Give it a few days and it'll be fine. Mine feels like that probably days 3-5 whenever I grow it out, but it definitely goes away after that.

I always let my facial hair grow out some until I have to something really important and then I will just shave so its more less kinda scruffy but it ends up looking like I am growing a beard everytime.

The only time I tried to grow a beard was during the NHL playoffs. And god damn was it nice. And god damn I couldn't trim it or anything because Detroit just had to make it to the finals.

First time you grow it, it itches like crazy. I've had a beard for about 3 years on and off, and every time I grow one it gets more comfortable. Eventually they just look like shit though, mine was about 3 inches long up until yesterday when I finally trimmed it down to about a third of that. They just look shitty when they get too unkempt.
