Haha yeah, they're definitely one of my favorite bands. They pretty much gave birth to the whole Celtic punk movement (bands like Flogging Molly, The Tossers, Dropkick Murphys, etc)

And even if you're not a fan of those bands (I am haha), you'll probably be able to get into the Pogues. Seems like they're pretty accessible. If you're looking for an album, check out "If I Should Fall From Grace With God". great stuff.

I've heard a few songs from those bands you've listed and they're usually alright. Could never really get into them though. I'm a bit Irish and my father was all about Irish music and his Irish heritage. I had to listen to everything from traditional irish music to the Dropkick Murpheys as a kid.

I'll see if we have that Pogues cd in at work. If we do, I'll probably buy it. If not, I'll download it. I usually don't buy recs, but I've always enjoyed him in that cover. Thanks.

"No! No!" He yelled, but, of coarse, I didn't listen, and I walked in on him. Aaron and Spencer’s first joint obsession was Pokémon.

“Pikachu? Boooring,” Aaron drawled, delicate fingers mashing the plastic buttons on his teal Gameboy.

“Hey, don’t kill it, I don’t have it yet!” Spencer complained, temporarily forgetting his game as he looked over Aaron’s shoulder. Too late – his best friend’s Charmeleon had knocked it out in one quick Ember. “Jerk.”

“But they’re so common,” Aaron pointed out, grinning cheekily. “I’ll get you another one, you big baby.”

“I am not a baby!” Spencer said indignantly, huffing. “I’m older than you, loser.”

“A few months – wow, what a long time,” Aaron drawled, rolling his eyes as he had learned to not too long ago from watching his mom do it too many times to his dad. “Look, there’s another one. Want it?”

“Duh, Aar,” Spencer said, watching intently over Aaron’s shoulder as he caught it easily. “Yeah! Now come on, connect with me.”

“Eww,” Aaron said jokingly, nose scrunching up as he connected their Gameboys with the necessary cord.

“What’cha want for it?” Spencer asked, looking up intently at him.

“Got an Abra? I don’t have one of those yet…”

“But they’re so common,” Spencer mocked, laughing when Aaron punched him in the arm. “Yeah, yeah, I got it… you ready to trade?”

When the two Pokémon had been transferred over, Aaron grinned, giving Spencer a high-five. “I think we make a pretty good team.”

“Yeah, I think we do, too.”
