ok some advice needed here:

Theres a guy (theres always a guy isn't there) who I very much like but hes getting over a bad breakup (relationship lasted over 3 years), he is a former emo fan but has since moved on, nevertheless I thought making him a mix of good breakup songs would be good? Is this a good idea and what are some suggestions?
I already have honey this mirror isn't big enough for the two of us, one eight seven, last train home....all good ones I think

The Starting Line - Break Up Day

"Tonight I'll stand in the light, so you count how many tears fall from my eyes, this time I'll be alright, my heart can't get any worse... Today is just another Break Up Day, its my least favorite holiday"

I have more, but I'll post them later...

Actually.. don't make him a heartbreak mixtape. Well, only if you wanna make him feel like crap. Make him a tape to cheer him up.

Yea really...why would you be like 'here's a tape to put you in a horribly depressed mood, you piece of shit.'

Make a happy tape....I command you.

Anway;

Matchbook Romance - 'Promise'

everyone says make a happy tape...

but, i think after a breakup, you should have some time to cry! crying is good for the soul.

so here's my suggestion:
autumn's monologue-from autumn to ashes

that song got me through some rough times. after he's done "mourning", THEN make the happy tape!

Heres one that could help, or just make him more depressed:
The last song i will ever write about a girl - The Ataris
"why do i never seem to learn that love is wrong and girls are fucking evil!"

seventy times seven- Brand new

So is that what you call a getaway?
Tell me what you got away with
Cause I've seen more spine on jellyfish
I've seen more guts on eleven-year-old kids
Have another drink and drive yourself home
I hope there's ice on all the roads
And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt
and again when your head goes through the windshield

I'll give you the typical AP.net response...

"any song that's about suicide will help you through a breakup...I mean...if you're that depressed about a meaningless HS relationship...you deserve to kill yourself"

I'm sure someone has said that already anyway.

A real song to listen to after a break up...uhm...don't really have a song but...almost anything ska...that shit cheers up anyone.
